So our last week! Here's the Spreadsheet for its penultimate outing

One more week could see another couple of pounds off.

Fingers crossed, and good luck! Flowers

Fab news jiminy!

nekobus · 19/05/2017 09:53

Brilliant Jim!

JiminnyCricket · 19/05/2017 10:16

Haha thanks guys but I'm taking it with a MASSIVE pinch of salt. Things have definately moved in the right direction scales-wise but I'm not convinced about the actual number. I'll be happy as long as I don't see bloody 16st 11 again this week, it's been haunting me for 2 weeks now.

I saw 16st 8lbs the week before that, and the week before that it was 16st bloody 11 again so I feel like i havent made any progress for 4 weeks iyswim. A whoosh would be lovely so fingers crossed for Monday I guess!

ASDismynormality · 19/05/2017 10:37

Jiminny I find when I have big whooshes a little may go back but not the whole lot. Fingers crossed for Monday.

Yesterday I went out for dinner with my DDs. We went to a turkish restaurant and had rather a lot of meat! Also had some tzatziki which isn't part of my woe as I try to avoid dairy but was worth it! Scales show an extra 1.25lbs but I'm sure it will come back off soon.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 19/05/2017 11:49

Jiminny that's ace! Loving your recipe suggestions too.

dustmotesinthesun · 19/05/2017 12:21

I posted yesterday but it's not showing up so no idea what happened. Big well Bella, huge achievement! You must be chuffed.
Neko hope the surgery went well and you're ok.

After last week being hard this week has suddenly flipped back to being easy! So relieved. I'm making good choices so far and managing my stress (so far). Had eggs and veggie soup for breakfast and lunch has been chicken with some cheesy sauce thing. Supper is mackerel with avocado and salad. I badly need to do a food shop but it's been a bit hectic.

I've been looking at dresses online for the wedding I'm off to in 3 weeks. I've found something beautiful (here) which I think realistically I'll still be a bit big for. But maybe with 3 strict weeks I could still get an inch off my hips and look ok in it. Some shapewear sucking me in would help too. Realistically, I think that's the kind of dress to wear in a few months time after another stone comes off, but it's still exciting looking and imagining wearing something like that. I do a little dressmaking when I have enough energy and there are so many things I'd LOVE to make myself too, so that's something to inspire me to be strict.

Bibs2014 · 19/05/2017 13:10

That's a lovely dress, dust.

hippadoppaloppagorillapig · 19/05/2017 14:15

Dust I absolutely love that.

Just had such a random lunch. 3 chicken thighs. Just that. But it was soooooo yummy!

Bibs2014 · 19/05/2017 22:01

Going to make fathead pizza tomorrow, can't wait!

thenightsky · 19/05/2017 22:59

Fathead pizza is the dog's bollux... but its a right arse trying to beat the egg into the mix evenly. Get your cheese mix hot and very sloppy and beat the egg is a separate bowl first... the beat together like a mad thing! Grin

nekobus · 20/05/2017 08:21

I've always fancied trying fathead pizza. I usually just go for a lazy pizza that's really a thin omelette with pizza type topping, or just melt grated mozzarella on non-stick pan and it crisps up so you can use it like a pizza base.

Dust I love to look of that dress, very elegant. I need something for a summer wedding I'd love to be a 12-14 by then instead of 14-16 now (although of course that's in shops that size up big, I'm probably a 20 in h&m...)

Hospital food was tricky but I didn't have much appetite - luckily I'd got DH to bring in babybels and olives, and I had a bag of almonds with me too. I wasn't back on the ward after surgery until 10pm when a nurse tossed me a beef sandwich and two packs of biscuits, so in true LC style I ate the beef and left the bread and kept the biscuits for the kids!

So good to be home, flax bread with butter and marmite for breakfast and I have a zimmer frame as well as crutches which will make it hen and food prep a bit easier.

I did an Ocado shop so tried coyo yogurt for the first time - really liked it. Also bought some of the oppo ice cream but not had the chance to try it yet.

bellalurgy · 20/05/2017 10:42

Morning all, quick check in. Still on it!

Brunch cheese omelette (no fresh veg till this afternoon)
meat and veg for dinner
couple of creamy coffees
nuts and/or greek yoghurt should I want/need a snack

dust I love that dress. (I'd look like a les dawson character in it but don't let that put you off)
Hope everyone's recovering/feeling better Grin I'm shocking at remembering things, even when I've just read them. It's either a leftover from chemo, a post menopause thing, or a getting old thing. Doesn't matter, I have no choice but to go with it!

Looking forward to Monday Wink

nekobus · 20/05/2017 12:51

TMI alert - Can anyone remind me what the best solutions are for being a bit bunged up??? They've given me co-codamol post surgery and it's really not helping!! I'm sure someone mentioned psyllium husks but I'm not sure whether it's ground or whole and how you eat them?? And where best to buy?
I have magnesium tabs too - will they help?

OldBooks · 20/05/2017 13:49

Flaxseed has solved this problem for me Neko. I got a couple of bags on Amazon prime but they are in big supermarkets (Linwoods brand).

nekobus · 20/05/2017 15:11

Thank you oldbooks. What do you do with it? I've only ever used it for making LC bread.

FinallyHere · 20/05/2017 15:21

Mmmmm... flaxseed crackers, brilliant. Basically ground flaxseed, one egg and a touch of seasoning. Google, there are lots of recipes. Its a tad tricky to roll them out thinly enough.

I understand that it is quite carby/100g, but two or three small crackers and a single espresso gets me sorted every time.

OldBooks · 20/05/2017 15:56

I sprinkle it in my Greek yoghurt

nekobus · 20/05/2017 15:58

I'm googling recipes now! And found one on the recipe thread. Daily flax for me!! Thanks guys

dustmotesinthesun · 20/05/2017 16:24

Glad you all like the dress. I've been ogling at it on an hourly basis. I'll probably get to a shop a week before the wedding and try it on and see how bad (or not) I look.

I went out to spent the evening with friends last night. I had fun. That's rather a rare occurrence in my life because of my health. I ended up falling into a vat of cider and being force fed dark chocolate. Or something. I have weighed up whether to feel bad about that. Losing weight is so important to me after all. Actually, though, I don't really much care. I spent most of my teens and twenties being stuck in my bedroom, staring at 4 walls, being very unwell. It's really really important to have fun now and enjoy life where I can. So I'm letting myself off the hook. My actual meals all day were healthy even though my friends ate pizza all evening- I sat munching on a salad with mackerel and genuinely enjoyed it.

I feel like 7 shades of shite today. My M.E is giving me an absolute roasting for going out. I'm not sure if the chocolate and alcohol are part of that - they probably are. I've been hiding in bed and trying not to cry all day. But it will pass and I'm so glad I got out. So important to make some memories. My fridge is full of healthy ready meals so I just have to crawl out of bed and get something in the oven at mealtimes for a few days.

wombattoo · 20/05/2017 16:30

Hi all
neko I have ground pysillium. It's like a powder and I put a teaspoon in water and drink it twice a day.

wombattoo · 20/05/2017 16:32

I forgot to say that the dress is lovely dust

Kleptronic · 20/05/2017 22:02

I had an absolutely FEIRCE longing for carbs in the shop before. I was stood in front of frozen mac and cheese and I WANTED it so very badly. I dunno what's the matter with me, it's very strange.

Having burger on flaxseed and almond bread with swede chips and salad instead.

dustmotesinthesun · 20/05/2017 23:16

It just grabs you sometimes klep doesn't it?

The thing that's really bugging me tonight is my clothes are clearly baggier today. I still don't regret the chocolate and cider last night but wah. I hope i don't feel heavier tomorrow.

Kleptronic · 21/05/2017 07:52

It does dust it certainly does. Don't sweat it about the cider and choc, you chose it, you wanted to, you enjoyed it, you're back on track.
