I’m such a cliche - middle aged sahm crushing on the builder. I need strategies to look busy and keep out of the way. Blush

Oh - I’m a cliche alright but at least I’m a single cliche.

Go into the toilet after him. That should sort you out.

FaFoutis · 29/10/2018 09:27

I meant after he has come out, rather than with him!

This might be the beginning of something magical

Follow him to the toilet? Shock. I can’t do that - I can’t even look him in the eye when I make him a cup of tea!

betweenhillsandsea I don’t think so. He’s either very shy or he dislikes me - it’s very hard getting a conversation going :(. I’m keeping out of the way but every now and then I get a glimpse

How long is he there for?

Report
Keyra · 29/10/2018 09:34

zzzzz I don’t know. I can’t think of a way to ask without it sounding predatory. Even if he isn’t though he’s too young for me. Although tbf I can’t quite decide how old he actually is - could be anything between 30 - 50!

Well then he's not too young is he?

He probably fancies you too, You numpty!

Until about Xmas FaFoutis. There’s two of them - the other one is very chatty and is the gaffer.

He is being shy because your giving off the I want to shag you vibes! Wink

Being serious just strike up a conversation, you never know you may end up with his number before he leaves

Oh Laurie if only! I’m potentially old enough to be his mum (if I’d started very young) and he probably has a very lovely partner. I’m just daydreaming.

Omg Pink I would absolutely die if I was doing that! How do I know if I am?! I might be, it has been a long time. Fuck, now I can’t even make him tea!

@Keyra LMAO! Keep us posted- hopefully it works out for you in some way ;) maybe he fancies you too??

Oh dear. At least you can't do anything too ridiculous if there are two of them.
My other tip is wear your oldest pants.

Report
Keyra · 29/10/2018 09:45

Talking of pants - I have an iron maiden thing in the kitchen where I dry all my washing. The lengths I’ve gone to since they’ve been here to try and hide my knickers is ridiculous. If nothing else comes of this farce I have at least realised I need new underwear.

@Keyra play some games for fun! Get some nice undies and hang them out to dry- or a nice bra.

As bad as it sounds, if you know his name or company maybe you could Facebook stalk him to find out his relationship status!

I haven’t got any nice ones adoggymama! I’m going to the corner shop, then I’ll make them tea. I’ll report back!

We had a very nice apprentice age builder boy work on our extension. Even without a kitchen I ended up having lots of friends over for coffee so we could ogle. DD was only about 4/5 at the time and the first time he was on site she declared "oh that one is very pretty" [shame] Grin

Here’s how the tea convo went:

Me to both: Do you want tea?
Chatty Gaffer: Yes please
Crushy Builder: Yes please

The end.

I think you're making real progress there 😂 Next you need to break out the chocolate hobnobs, it's a well-known sign that you desire him if you bring out the good biscuits. If you want to be really obvious you have to give his boss rich tea.
