I’m such a cliche - middle aged sahm crushing on the builder. I need strategies to look busy and keep out of the way.

Those flowers are gorgeous! I only ever get multiple-coloured crysanths from Aldi (although as it's a rare occasion I am most grateful that I get even those), those are utterly stunning! CG is pulling out all the stops now, if I wasn't happily attached I'd say send him my way 😍

Long time non member lurker here, I simply had to register today to ask a burning question... at what point in your beautiful relationship (if at all) with CG will you tell him all about this thread? First official date, one year together, engagement, wedding day?

I believe this should now be ‘place marked’, has to be better than ‘mumsnet goodness builder crush’ being constantly at the top of my most recent google search list where it has been for some time now.

I don't think I'm going to start a new thread :(. I'm so sorry. I'm a bit worried about anonymity. I never expected to have such lovely responses or for it to go on for so long, and over the weeks I've posted quite a lot of stuff that could be put together and make people recognisable. I don't mind for me but obviously can't speak for my supporting cast!

You've all been so wonderful and kind and funny and wise. Having the builders in has definitely put a spring in my step but it has been also quite stressful, so being able to come here and unload and discuss my ineptitude has been brilliant.

I don't know who the flowers are from - I suspect cg but I'm not sure, we'll see if he says anything on Monday. I promise I'll come back with a similarly titled thread if ever there's anything to report! Thank you all for being kind and interested and supportive, and good luck to everyone else with crushes

Halfway through a massive project here ourselves and i can totally sympathise with the stress of it. Funny moments but mostly stress and mess and ££££££££.
