The lady we know and love, who has brought us 30 Days Of Yoga, is starting a new series of sessions on YouTube from 1 January called .

This just might be the incentive I've been waiting for to establish a daily practice. Does anyone want to join me? Smile

I will probably start tomorrow as still recovering from the lurgy and was expecting my db to arrive today (but he's unwell) so it was a bit chaotic this morning. Looking forward to it.

I think she does kundalini yoga iirc but lots of flow yoga and variations for those of us not so flexible. I did the 30 days before Christmas and then it all went to pot!

RubberDuck · 01/01/2016 13:29

Definitely going to be a yoga-y 2016 for me. Has anyone else got one of these? Daily Greatness Yoga Journal.

Bit pricey but started to fill out the starting pages and it seems good so far at helping you focus on what's important to you and structuring goals.

LadyWithLapdog · 01/01/2016 13:44

I signed up. I'd never watched her videos before. She seems likeable, quite jolly.

Just completed todays "workout" - I heartily approve Grin

museumworker · 01/01/2016 21:42

Count me in! Just did day one of last year's 30 day yoga as trying to do a little every day (well, since Christmas anyway!) I now want one of those dailygreatness journals but am terrible at journalling so will lust from afar. Am new to Adrienne and also planning to try out my local yoga studio so might end up double yoga-ing!

cece · 01/01/2016 21:57

I will start tomorrow - slightly hungover this morning. (and the rest of the day tbh)

Fckup · 01/01/2016 22:01

I've started doing a Morning yoga with Erica for the last two mornings - New Years resolution and to try to sort me out emotionally. Could I do this in the evening or would it be too much?

Lumierelulu · 01/01/2016 22:08

Same here with the timings, mornings work best for me too. Think this'll mean doing the day 2 on Sunday morning then. In the meantime...best finish the Christmas chocolates Wink

JimineyJelickers · 01/01/2016 23:09

I'm in! I also go to a yoga studio so might have to do double yoga on a few days.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 02/01/2016 00:48

Have signed up. Not sure how doing it at home would work but will try.

CoteDAzur · 02/01/2016 11:26
is yesterday's 1st video, for those joining us today.

Today's video is not up yet, but you can check for it on Adriene's channel on YouTube.

Namaste Smile

Good idea These!

I watched the first video yesterday. Maybe a bit woo for me but am going to embrace it anyway. Need to have a look at the calendar to understand the affirmations I think.

I'm back at work today and trying to set new routines so did her "Detox" workout this morning. Lots of twists. I really enjoyed it and definitely feel less creaky now. Hardest part is the perilous creep downstairs last the DC bedrooms.

Love the idea of a yoga journal. I think I might buy a diary to note my progress down. Often feel like I am going nowhere or getting worse. Especially in classes where I seem to get loads of corrections. Maybe I will see a longer term improvement this way.

Readysteadyknit · 02/01/2016 13:21

Thanks for posting the link Cote

I've just done the first practical session and had to try several rooms in the house before I could find the right amount of space and privacy. Really enjoyed it though and feel better. I need to find a regular time to do it. Mornings would make more sense practically but would mean getting up earlier

Lumierelulu · 02/01/2016 17:04

Just did the Day 1 video too. I think it's going to be good to slow it down and spend more time in the poses. Just sitting legs crossed and keeping a good posture is surprisingly challenging...for me anyway. And am pleased it's not got too woo for now. Bring on day 2!

hairylittlegoblin · 02/01/2016 17:51

Can I join? Just done day 1 and think I'm going to keep it running a day behind so I can practice in the morning.

Not done her videos before but I like her style and she's easy to follow without constantly watching the screen which has been my main problem with other youtube vids. (Too much of a beginner to know what they're doing without a decent description!)

Hyggeligt · 02/01/2016 19:14

This looks fantastic, I stumbled across this by accident-just what I need, I think.
Do you go to YouTube everyday or does she have her own site?
Apologies if really dim questions!
Thanks

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/01/2016 19:18

Has anyone had email for day 2 yet? I was expecting it to arrive at the same time as yesterday...

CoteDAzur · 02/01/2016 19:30

Hyg - Yes, she has her own site on which you can register for calendar & emails but I just follow her on YouTube.

Thank you for starting this thread - I have discovered the yoga topic and Adrienne! Just did day 2 and really liked her approach - about a zillion times better than a yoga app I downloaded recently which seemed to rush you through the poses and made me sore (not in a good way) afterwards.

I've been doing a weekly yoga class since September and finding it great but I wanted to do something a bit more often and this is perfect.

MrsBertMacklin · 02/01/2016 19:39

Fine nothing yet. The video is up though.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/01/2016 19:57

Oh is it, I assumed the email went out at the same time - wish I hadn't eaten so much dinner now! Envy

CoteDAzur · 02/01/2016 20:35

Kids have just gone to bed and now I'm only good for watching TV, I'm afraid Sad Mornings are so much better for me to practice yoga. I'll catch up with you tomorrow morning.

I managed day 2!! Massive achievement as I feel terrible today (think period on way, only second since having DD 18mths ago and last/first one was HORRENDOUS!!). I've literally been hysterical all day and had to cancel on a friend's post wedding drinks. So very proud of myself that I 'showed up'. My back is quite sore today in the middle part of my spine, I think I've been strong arming in on my spinal twists so going to try and keep my finger tips light in future when twisting. I'm due an osteopath appointment in the next week or so so hopefully get it looked at properly then.
I'm doing the sessions in the evening, in our bedroom on the floor. I have to have all the lights out as DD is in our room, I can't leave her incase she falls out of bed. Maybe I'll light some candles tomorrow?
