The lady we know and love, who has brought us 30 Days Of Yoga, is starting a new series of sessions on YouTube from 1 January called .

This just might be the incentive I've been waiting for to establish a daily practice. Does anyone want to join me? Smile

I did Day 2 this morning but am relatively new to yoga and struggled with the balance poses. I am also quite round and stiff which makes some of the exercises challenging but I like the way she differentiates the poses and the slow pace and explanations are good for a beginner.

CoteDAzur · 04/01/2016 11:38

I just did Day 2 & found it a bit long & slow, but also was thankful that it gently stretched my hamstrings. They are much better than yesterday, although I'll probably still look like a duck at my regular vinyasa class tomorrow.

In all, I'm happy that this Yoga Camp got me actually practicing at home Smile

For those of you missing your emails: I've just found mine. Under 'promotions' on my Gmail account. They appear to be flagged as commercial ..:

RubberDuck · 04/01/2016 12:31

I got a day 3 email (don't use gmail - have a private email server/provider) just not a day 2 email :(

quirkychick · 04/01/2016 13:54

I've got email for day 3, which I will try to do tomorrow. Slightly hectic morning but I will try to fit it in.

Expellibramus · 04/01/2016 14:08

Bit behind but just started day 1 and loved it!

Eastpoint · 04/01/2016 14:35

I'm still waiting for Day 3...

Musicianofbremen · 04/01/2016 16:09

No day 3 email for me either. It's easy to find on YouTube though.

I did day 3 earlier and enjoyed it. I got the email too but after I'd already done the practice on YouTube.

I had a few weeks off yoga in December and and quite sore getting back into it but it's great!

Talisin · 04/01/2016 20:04

Joining in. Haven't done yoga for about a year now (the only local class I could get to, I found the instructor incredibly annoying) so thought I'd give online classes a go and found Adriene. Have just completed days 2 & 3 together so I suspect I'll be aching tomorrow - on the plus side it does mean I don't have to get up at the crack of dawn to do day 3 tomorrow.

stardusty5 · 04/01/2016 20:58

Just finished Day 3. Really enjoying this and feeling motivated.

I like to complete it in the evening as it helps with my '52 changes' bedtime routine! Its also giving me time to consider my body and my health and focus me on my goals.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 04/01/2016 21:17

Just finished day 3. I am officially pants at lunges and core stuff. Weak weak weak.

Really enjoyed today though, and reframed as good to be challenging myself, rather than as failing at everything.

CoteDAzur · 04/01/2016 21:29

I don't know if I'll be able to do tomorrow's practice, as managed to give myself a swollen purple knee by (spectacularly and publicly) flying off DS's scooter on the street this afternoon. Such an idiot Sad

Fatrascals it's a series of threads in the Health>General Health topic started by OddSocksHighHeels. We're on week 2 which is a good bedtime routine. Week 1 was drinking more water.

Sorry i can't manage clicky links!

itonlygetsbetter · 05/01/2016 06:22

Day 3 completed - found it very hard to get up this morning but OK once I got started. Really hope I can keep this up.

Musicianofbremen · 05/01/2016 07:25

Day 3 completed. Had to be done in the presence of children which is usually a sure fire way to put me off but only had to pause once.

Definitely starting to find down dog easier but find this 45 degree angle lower down bits almost impossible.

CoteDAzur · 05/01/2016 08:00
is Day 3, if anyone is struggling to find it.

Hope your knee is feeling better this morning Cote Sad Sounds nasty.

Day 3 done. I surprised myself by coping with the core work okay. Still very tight in the wrists, but more uncomfortable than painful today, which was good. Can't believe how much better I feel after just three days of yoga. Kicking myself for dropping it over Christmas now!

chickindude · 05/01/2016 08:24

So delighted GrinSmile
I have been teaching yoga for 16 years, and am a yoga teacher trainer. It is just marvellous that you all love yoga so much....Hooray! When I began practicing yoga 25 years ago it was seen as a weird hippy thing to do. Slowly slowly it has developed in to a different more modern/westernised style that has a much wider appeal. The more people practicing yoga the better I say.

Thank you, Rubber. Just now I did parts of Day 3 where we don't have to be on the knee, and adjusted some others (e.g. went straight to downward dog where Adriene says to put knees down first). Just realised my hands hurt quite a bit, too, when my weight is on them. Understandably, since I landed on hands & knees. Ah well. Tomorrow will be better Smile

School started today, so I am only on day 1, but I am here!

Expellibramus · 05/01/2016 12:50

Day 2 done, ouch for your knee Cote :(

maketheworldgoaway · 05/01/2016 13:38

I've got this week off work so can practice in the day but I'll be back to evenings next week.

Day 4 done. I broke a sweat today and my hamstrings are really complaining but I enjoyed it!.
