The lady we know and love, who has brought us 30 Days Of Yoga, is starting a new series of sessions on YouTube from 1 January called .

This just might be the incentive I've been waiting for to establish a daily practice. Does anyone want to join me? Smile

Thank you for this thread, it inspired me to do this as well. I'm new to yoga this year, but am enjoying it, and horrified by how inflexible I am (especially my hamstrings, crikey!).

I'm not quite managing every day (sometimes life / other exercise gets in the way), but I'm due to do Day 11 today, and I started 2 weeks ago.

My question is that I've found it very easygoing so far on the whole (especially compared to classes), apart from maybe one move per session max, where I'm not quite flexible enough to hold a pose that long, but it doesn't happen that frequently. Does it become more challenging as you progress? Any recommendations on what to move onto? Am trying to stretch out my hammies a little bit every day in addition to whatever exercise I've done that day. Hopefully, I'll be able to bend a little more!

Day 25 here and I do not feel strong, although my arms are getting a tiny bit better but my crow is not improving. Even my legs were a bit wobbly today. But I'm further on than I got in 30 days so it's all good.

I have a fireTV stick and it seems to organise youtube really well, i can see sets of Adriene's videos grouped by time which seems like a good idea. Still planning 30 days after yoga camp though.

Well done, Rubberduck.

I have done day 26, I felt quite stiff on Monday, when I didn't manage any yoga. I think I have got used to feeling more relaxed and flexible after a yoga session!

I need to decide what to do next week when I have finished the Yoga Camp, I might try the yoga for weight loss, and I have some yoga dvds that I haven't done for a while to mix it up a bit.

Hi everyone - great to see people continuing and glad your shoulder is feeling better, cece!

I've ended up starting the 30 Days of Yoga series again and really enjoying that (well apart from Day 6 - six pack abs day Grin). Really feels good to be having a daily practice longer than the month rather than drifting without a focus.

I managed to hold side planks for several breaths yesterday, which I was really proud of. And today, I actually managed to get in position for crow - couldn't quite take the weight and balance, but it kind of clicked into place how my elbows/arms connect to my legs to get the support right so I'm thrilled I've made some progress on a pose I always thought "yeah, right. Will never manage THAT"!

Shoulder is fine - thank you for asking! I've even managed a few headstands.

Day14 done yesterday. Been to class today - finished off with crow.

I hope to do Day 15 tomorrow - got an ill dc so might not be able to go to work. I am hoping a good sleep will mean he is well enough but we'll see what the morning brings...

I've just done Day 25. Legs felt decidedly less strong after! I'm definitely not managing every day giddy, but doing something active each day, so that's OK. I need to decide which yoga to do next.

With that and Headspace I feel much calmer than when I started. I don't think I realised I wasn't calm, but I was getting over a chest infection and I feel so much better than when I started in January.

Cece how's your shoulder? I'm only a few days ahead of you - did day 17 this morning. It was lovely. I'm really only doing 4 days a week of Yoga Camp because I never do it on the day of my usual class, or the day I swim in the evening or Saturday which seems to be my 'too lazy to do any exercise today' day. But 5 days of Yoga a week is still OK I think.

Ah I found you! This thread dropped off of my threads I'm on and had to go hunting.

Been to class today. Embarrassed to say I am due to do day 14 tomorrow.

Still going here but just in the teens. Not done any yoga camp since Wednesday (regular class on Thursday, 1h swimming Friday evening) and just considering getting on the mat now but daytime often results in DS (age 3) lying on top of me and saying 'Mummy, you're not doing the same as her, you need to do this' and not quite realising that I can't do what she is doing because he is on top of me.

I managed day 24 early this morning. Hope you feel better soon, Cote. I have restarted my weights, but it is a different kind of strength to yoga! I haven't done any for almost 2 months, what with a chest infection over Christmas and Yoga Camp. The challenge is to manage both.

Hi everyone - Congratulations to those who have finished Yoga Camp and those who are continuing with it Smile I have managed to hurt my hips again with a yoga class so remained in the bench this week. I'll try to finish this weekend.

Well done, Magical!

Back on the Yoga Camp, I did day 22 today. I did do some bodyweight exercises yesterday including some pull-ups - really feeling those muscles today as I haven't done any for ages. Felt much better for the salutations to the sun yesterday and Yoga Camp today. I had hoped to do 22 and 23 but a combination of a confusion at dd2's school and lack of charge on my tablet meant it was not to be!

Hi ...I missed one day yesterday (first one in the month..... Was just too exhausted)

Today I did day 25 "I am strong" and I felt STRONG!

Proud to say I've managed to keep up my post-yoga-camp daily practice so far. And I'm getting better. Managed a ten seconds crow yesterday! Grin

I haven't done any yoga for a few days either Rhinestone, as it has been a bit mad here. We had a house guest at the weekend, so it was busy, dd2 was unwell on Monday and today we have workmen in. Tomorrow and Friday should be easier, so I am looking forward to catching up with Yoga Camp and Headspace! I am really missing it.

Tooth successfully removed yesterday, feeling pretty good considering. Sedation was fab!

Taking it easy for a few days so no yoga, cycling or running. Didn't realise that I'd miss it so much...

Oh, yay, hotel room yoga ... Brings back memories! Grin

I remember spending a week in a business hotel in some Czech backwater last spring. All day meetings then strategy session with my team at the bar during which everyone got mildly pissed then yoga on the hotel room floor. Repeat every day for a week. I got bad carpet burn but was the only one of us still capable of being coherent when we arrived back on Friday night - and that's how I earned my last promotion.

Day 30 done! I don't normally like extended freestyle - like others I like being told what to do! However, just seemed to hit the spot today. Still in a hotel, so following a tiny iPad screen can be tricky at the best of times and I just had better inspiration of what my body needed today that was practical in hotel space. Also treated myself to a five minute shavasana at the end which was wonderful!

It's funny. A year ago I'd have thought trying to keep up a yoga practice while away from home was nuts, but it's been really good for me as a way to decompress in the afternoon before heading out for dinner and to deal with the aches and pains of travelling.

... and that's why I'm too scared to try handstands right there!

1st day post yoga camp ... and since I'm off early today I suppose I'll drop in for a class at my regular studio tonight. It's hips tonight according to their online schedule and mine certainly need it.

Good luck at the dentist's Rhinestone.

Well done for getting on that mat today, everyone Smile I've been free styling a bit, as managed to hurt my wrist the other day at the yoga studio (handstands - why?!).

Up early so did day 29. I'm having a wisdom tooth out later today so was feeling a bit sad that it might be a while before I do day 30. But if it's like 30 days of yoga I might give it a miss as I also like being told what to do Talisin

I like the idea of us all doing yoga in various living rooms around the country, follow on thread sounds good Smile

Hi everyone
Yesterday I did "hangover yoga" for obvious reasons! I was still chuffed with myself for getting on the mat at all though!

Today I did days 21 and 22. I wasn't feeling the love really- I didn't really get into my groove but I did it.... I think it was me and not the yoga sessions.

Talisin · 31/01/2016 21:34

Well, I'm done and to be perfectly honest, I was not a big fan of todays session. I didn't want to freestyle, I like more structure to my practice i.e I want to be told what to do! On the plus side, my new Chromecast worked perfectly with youtube. Guess I need to look through some more of her vids now to decide what to do in February so I don't start slacking off again which I find all too easy Blush
