I am afraid we bring very sad news. There are no words really to describe her shattering loss, the wonderful Mumsnetter GoJetterGirl’s beautiful seven year old son has died following two years suffering with cancer. Life has been so utterly cruel to him, to his family and friends, to all who love and will miss him. We are so so sorry. GoJetterGirl’s thread is here and we know many of you supported her on there through until his devastating death on February 25th. We are so very sorry and send so much love 
We are so pleased that the lovely GoJetterGirl accepted our offer of a Woolly Hug, there will be love in every stitch and we hope lots of warmth, comfort and memories for his little brother too. We hope that many of you who have already supported on her thread will be able to help make this blanket. Many thanks to @NoWordForFluffy for all her help.

Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook. Please knot off VERY carefully when finishing or changing colour and sew your ends in, thank you! No blocking please, makes it much easier to join squares.

All wool that we were sending on behalf of donors has gone today. Second class as it makes our £££ go further. Thank you so much to the amazingly generous spirited souls who have sent funds to allow this to happen. So fingers crossed by the end of the week everyone will be sorted.

I attempted crocheting from a chart yesterday and it seemed to go OK. Currently puzzling over whether I could recreate a creeper, but not entirely sure where the yarn would be cut and whether I need to buy another ball of black! Any ideas from the experienced crafters would be much appreciated

@Zhx3 - look at graphghans - these are done using the C2C pattern with colour blocks . A bit fiddly , but easily doable

Afternoon all 
Due to the recent hot weather and the fact that I'm a sun hater means that I've had plenty of time to finish my offerings for this woolly hug.
Being blonde, fair skinned and menopausal is really not conducive to sitting in the hot sun so I've spent many peaceful hours crocheting away in the relative cool of my front room so here's my contribution.
Please ignore the yarn pegs - I had to use them to anchor the squares down whilst I took a picture!
As requested by K&P all my squares are in the same colour and spell out GoJetter boy's favourite programme.
It's been an absolute honour to be part of this project and every square was crafted with genuine love for the family.
