You find us busily setting up a new home for our wonderful project. Will be making a special cosy corner for Soupy's poor blind cat - recently blinded by fiesta and her very bright blanket kit Gin

As has been since the first year, this has been an astonishing team effort, folk never fail to amaze. THANK YOU! x

Our first project thread is here.... That was the one where we frantically made SQUARES and some folk made whole blankets, there was a lot of gin and the word characterful was used a lot Grin

On the last thread we reached the dizzying heights of 64/100 absolutely gorgeous finished blankets, so here's hoping this thread sees us through to target...

Ooooo, and this will be the thread where we share the Early Bird 2019 info if anyone has been inspired or just wants to get ahead! Thanks

The photo is from last year, tis the wonderful group who came to Portsmouth.

Cracking on then Grin

Saw the other one first, thought that was Revenge Square and that you'd gone SOFT.

Oh ye of little faith... I deliberately shoved it towards the bottom of the bag 😂

I though it was perhaps a little unfair to lumber some poor Russian child with a radioactive square (especially given the circumstances!)

MrsHathaway · 24/05/2018 10:38

Thanks K&P - some stunners there.

Can I applaud the decision to have a particular palette for Chernobs this year? (am I right in thinking it's the first time you've specified?) I'm sure it's made kit-building a little easier and the resulting colour combinations and construction designs have been splendid.

KnottyAndPistey · 24/05/2018 10:50

I was quite relieved actually! The day we go soft Soupy is the day for us to retire Grin

KnottyAndPistey · 24/05/2018 10:52

The palette - yes!

We'd always given a list off colours to avoid, but actually it is easier on everyone just to be very prescriptive. Next year we have taken out blush and lincoln (as well as burgundy) but they do look lovely in 89. It's just that they don't sit well with many others, same with burgundy actually

Going to try to get that square in btw Soupy Grin

I find it fascinating how we all like different colour themes, what is it that affects this and causes it to develop? Knots and I like very similar things, both much on the bolder side of colour combos and away from pastels, so think pomegranate, spice, magenta, meadow, violet tomato, lime etc. But why???!!! Must be some research somewhere!

Am really liking the way mustard is working away in no 73, don't think I have ever chosen it.

They are all so beautiful, love how they all have their own story
