Thread 2! Woolly Hugs. Chernobyl 2018 is HERE!!!

You find us busily setting up a new home for our wonderful project. Will be making a special cosy corner for Soupy's poor blind cat - recently blinded by fiesta and her very bright blanket kit

As has been since the first year, this has been an astonishing team effort, folk never fail to amaze. THANK YOU! x

Our first project thread is here.... That was the one where we frantically made SQUARES and some folk made whole blankets, there was a lot of gin and the word characterful was used a lot

On the last thread we reached the dizzying heights of 64/100 absolutely gorgeous finished blankets, so here's hoping this thread sees us through to target...

Ooooo, and this will be the thread where we share the Early Bird 2019 info if anyone has been inspired or just wants to get ahead!

Soup, that's absolutely fabulous! The fiesta just lifts it onto another sphere, doesn't it?

(Tbh, I had thought I wouldn't like the fiesta at all, but I was so wrong!)

Also have MyHermes lined up to take very hefty boxes of wonderful extras to Norfolk, Suffolk and Fife.

Last posting for extras and dollar ( as DD would say) for ice creams is TOMORROW!

Yes on liking different palettes - I have always been on the more pastel side of pinks/purples/blues/greens (very much like the vintage Kinship palette) , but have come to realise that you do need vibrant as well in there . I am building up stocks of other colours as I go along , and finding it good to try out different combinations that work .

These beauties are top up squares but not sure where from. Apols if we’ve lost the card. X

Any of the construction crew in here got one more blanket kit in them?!

My top-up squares didn’t make the post today. I totally forgot Monday was a Bank Holiday as it is not a holiday for me, so I guess they will be in the post first thing on Tuesday. Sorry!

Posted a completed Chernobyl kit today as well as a completed Snugs kit. Talk about leaving it till the last minute...yes...um...sorry about that!

I have recognised one of my squares! Well done to all the ladies constructing and K&P for all the organising all round.
