We are afraid we bring very sad news. Daffyduck1’s beloved husband died recently, he had been suffering from cancer. Such devastating news, we are so sorry that life has been so cruel. Our love and thoughts are with her, their beautiful children and family. Love and strength to them all X

We have offered to make Daffy a blanket to show our love and support and to offer what comfort we can, and we are delighted to say she has accepted.

So we are asking for help once again

We have the family’s initials if anyone would like to undertake them, they also love their chocolate labrador Ted and tabby cat George.

Lots of ideas, just beautiful.

Please don't feel daunted, we love plain squares and simple textures too. They look as stunning as the more complex squares and play a vital role in the overall effect.

Squares to be 6 inches, using 4mm hook or needles.

All crafting abilitiesgenuinelywelcome, squares made by beginner or experienced are equally welcomed. It really is the love and thought that counts.

Just catching up.

Posted 22 parcels of yarn yesterday, and 5 went straight to crafters from Wool Warehouse, so hoping to hear about wool arrivals soon. Please post on here when it does, our lovely donors of funds need to see their generous donations arriving safely. Huge thanks to them once again.

Apologies, it will be quiet in here from us over this weekend, although will try to pop in. But do keep PMing - will catch up asap, and all still very welcome to join.

I don't think final post day has been decided yet, but if you work with a 6 weeks from thread start date that'll be about right. (That's what I do)

I did alter pattern a few times last night [stubborn] until I made this one. Still a bit "curly" but looks quite sunflower-y so I'm happy with it
This one has the lighter brown centre too.
Zinglette already has dibs on the first version to make it into a hairclip, so nothing is wasted!

Could anyone do a sun for us?

I can't manage that in the colours I'll be using but I'm planning George's paw prints.

The motif I was going to do could be interpreted either as a sun or sunflower x

Can I use Debbie Bliss Sea Green (81) please?
It's a paler shade of the Basil you sent and I'd be using it in 4 identical squares with the Basil - I think that would work well.
(Don't worry if no good, just let me know either way please )
