We have heard the desperately sad news that ImpatientWino’s precious baby son William was stillborn, such a devastating loss, there are no words. We send them all our love and are so sorry. We are keeping their family close in our thoughts. Bless their hearts, her thread is here should anyone wish to post a message. Thanks

We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted. ImpatientWino is very touched by everyone's kindness, we will make something very beautiful for William, for them all.

We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors. If you would like to donate wool or funds, we can match you up. If you would like to join in but need donated wool, we can help there too.
Please PM with your offers of help. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Ideas for squares
Daffodils are very significant, so daffodil designs, or embellishments on squares would be brilliant. She says she can’t see one without thinking of him.
Any other flowers too
Trees
Their first son loves animals, so these would be fabulous for him.
Hearts
We have the family’s initials if anyone would like to take these on. They would also love to have the initials of their amazing midwives as a tribute. Star

Simple or complex, made by beginner or experienced, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

There is support for buying colours on our website, here. Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook.

Previous blankets can be seen on our website If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

We also have a Facebook page Woolly Hugs and are on Twitter @Woolly_Hugs

When ready for posting, please PM for info. As always, we thank you so much for your support,

So sad that another blanket is needed. ImpatientWino, we are thinking of William, you and you family and sending our love.

Thank you Thanks

“I'm so very touched to be receiving one. The ladies of mumsnet continue to amaze me.” IW x

Please can I help? I am very uncoordinated but I'd love to donate wool. I treasure the beautiful beautiful blanket that was made for my tiny girl and know just how special a connection these blankets can be. You ladies are amazing Flowers

She'd?

Shed!

Crazy phone thinks I knows better than me again!

Impatientwino · 26/05/2016 22:40

My older boy does indeed love dinosaurs! Animals and dinosaurs are most definitely his bag!

You're absolutely right, children shouldn't die before their parents. Beautiful darling babies should not be snatched from us and the world should not continue to turn without noticing when they are. This world is a cruel place made brighter by love and compassion for others.

Flowers for you all

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 26/05/2016 22:49

I shall make a Dino tomorrow, for William's big brother.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 27/05/2016 15:22

I was wondering what "ghetto compliment" meant. Thought maybe you were a rapper or somefink innit

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 27/05/2016 15:30

I come with apologies tonight.
I have not made a Dino.
Dino will have to wait until tomorrow as I have trashed my back Sad

Hopefully I will manage in the morning.

And I will get ds to draw a couple of animals too.

He might even knit a square!

In a fab coincidence, Pinterest popped a lovely wee square up on my feed t'other day.

It was called 'William'...

...so I have hooked it in aqua for William's blanket.

Much love to IW - thinking of you Flowers x

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 28/05/2016 12:28

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 28/05/2016 23:07

Oh Marci it's so gorgeous - he will utterly love it as do I.

Thank you so much Spiral. There have been lots of coincidences surrounding Williams death. I've started to find it very comforting.

Today has been a tough one so this has cheered me up seeing such a cute elephant for DS1, reading your lovely posts and hearing of kindness.

 for everyone X

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 01/06/2016 09:32

Marci
My back is fine now, thanks.
I just over did things, lugging a stereo through town.

Elephant is very cute.
Almost cute enough to make me want to learn to crochet!

Hope yarn gets here tomorrow, else it will be sitting on my doorstep all weekend Hmm

Marcipex · 01/06/2016 15:16

Wino, you're very welcome.

WhyCantI, glad you're better after lugging a stereo for miles. You do know you can get a supermarket trolley for only £1?Wink
