We have heard the desperately sad news that ImpatientWino’s precious baby son William was stillborn, such a devastating loss, there are no words. We send them all our love and are so sorry. We are keeping their family close in our thoughts. Bless their hearts, her thread is here should anyone wish to post a message. Thanks

We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted. ImpatientWino is very touched by everyone's kindness, we will make something very beautiful for William, for them all.

We shall need crocheters, knitters and donors. If you would like to donate wool or funds, we can match you up. If you would like to join in but need donated wool, we can help there too.
Please PM with your offers of help. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Ideas for squares
Daffodils are very significant, so daffodil designs, or embellishments on squares would be brilliant. She says she can’t see one without thinking of him.
Any other flowers too
Trees
Their first son loves animals, so these would be fabulous for him.
Hearts
We have the family’s initials if anyone would like to take these on. They would also love to have the initials of their amazing midwives as a tribute. Star

Simple or complex, made by beginner or experienced, we genuinely welcome them all. It really is the love and thought that counts.

There is support for buying colours on our website, here. Squares to be six inches, using 4mm needles or hook.

Previous blankets can be seen on our website If looking for ideas for a pattern, there are many linked to from our website under Crafting

We also have a Facebook page Woolly Hugs and are on Twitter @Woolly_Hugs

When ready for posting, please PM for info. As always, we thank you so much for your support,

So sad that another blanket is needed. ImpatientWino, we are thinking of William, you and you family and sending our love.

Thank you Thanks

“I'm so very touched to be receiving one. The ladies of mumsnet continue to amaze me.” IW x

Oh I've just realised I posted my question on the wrong thread. [very tired]

We have lovely donors to thank. Your funds have arrived safely. Thanks

Honestly your donations mean so much, we always want to be inclusive, for everyone to join in if they would like to, and some folk just wouldn't be able to afford to. Your kind donations make it possible, we really are so grateful. Thank you Star

Just seen...
That took less than 3 hours!
And half an hour of that was trying to upload the picture with no signal.

I think I will leave the footprint as other people have offered.
I will see what else I can come up with...
