When we offered to make some Little Hugs for Yorkhill Hospital, we also talked to them about their Christmas Fundraiser.
As part of our support, we offered to help by making some little things that could be sold on a craft stall to help raise funds for the hospital.

So here we are, asking you if you could help in anyway.
If you could make one small thing, we would be so grateful.

We have an idea of the types of things that have been popular in the past and have a few idea of our own such as:

Little hats
Little cardis
Christmas Decorations
Little bags and purses
Christmas stockings
Bunting
Knitted or crocheted softies
Brooches
Cotton washcloths
Napkins
Coasters
Stocking fillers

Although it is a Christmas event, the goodies needn't necessarily be Christmassy.

Any other suggestions are welcomed with open arms

If you have any patterns or links that would help to inspire others we'd be grateful for those too.

We have a Last Posting date of 17th November so that we can ensure that all the goodies arrive in time for the Christmas event.

As always, thank you so much for your support.

Thanks

Just to try to even things up, here's a cute wee sheep for Team Knitty Milly the Sheep

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/10/2012 19:22

Good effort there on behalf of Team Knitty - Milly is cuuuute, I will give you that and when I am out of the bath Shock I will upload her. Smile

Cute Icelandic baby/kid's jumper and hat here

Hat is very quick to knit up, especially if you don't bother with the ear flaps.

prettybird · 03/10/2012 19:26

Milly must be a newborn lamb as she wasn't there when I went looking for the stocking pattern earlier today! :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 03/10/2012 19:31

What I do want to know is how to attach crochet bunts.

I now have better woolly wool for my bunts Smile so when I have finished the Little Hug, I am good to go. Wine

KnottyLocks · 03/10/2012 19:37

Attaching bunts!

Chain a few, slip stitch into first chain if you want to make a little loop.

Grab bunt.

DC across the top of the bunt.

Do a few chains between that and the next bunt. Dc across the next ... Keep going!

A bit fiddly but oh so cute. I have had to hide this one from DD as it is mine. All mine!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/10/2012 21:57

Awwwwwwww.. that is really cute!

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 22:24

I did it slightly differently because I couldn't be arsed to make ears separately by making the ears from HTC on an extra round.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 04/10/2012 22:32

I have a few more bits to upload to the website, thank you, but I think I need a teeny pom bear in my life.......

SoupDragon · 04/10/2012 22:44

I am imagining them on a little card that says "a little bear to show you care"...

KnottyLocks · 04/10/2012 22:52

Best get cracking then, Soupy Grin

I make amigurumi bears all in one with popcorn stitch ears, snout and limbs. Shall i pattern it up? About 1.5-2" high in dk...

SoupDragon · 05/10/2012 07:07

Knotty, I just don't have the time [sigh] I've got a Refuge blanket to make squares for and construct, a mini Hug to finish, a Christmas scarf, 3 blankets which are WIPs, the house needs decorating, double glazing and all the day-to-day chores... I feel guilty every time I do more of the mini hug.

I want to weep!

PurplePidjin · 05/10/2012 07:26

Soupy. I'll do some more refuge squares so you have less "padding" to do. I always have a wobble during a big project thinking I'll never get it done, I'll muck it up, I'll let everyone down etc. Then it all falls into place - keep faith Thanks

SoupDragon · 05/10/2012 07:42

Oh, don't worry I'll just neglect all the chores as usual

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/10/2012 07:44

Why don't I pop round and sort out your double glazing. I could do that.

SoupDragon · 05/10/2012 07:45

If I finished the 3 WIP blankets I might not need the double glazing :o
