We have heard the desperately sad news that 3girlies daughter Flora has lost her battle against a brain tumour, she was 6 years old. 3girlies' thread is here

We send 3girlies our love and are so sorry for her loss. She and her family are in our hearts and thoughts X

We have offered to make the family a blanket, and hope it may give whatever comfort it can to them. We are so pleased that they have accepted.

So we are calling out for knitters, crocheters and donors. Can you help us?

If you would like to be involved in any way, please post on this thread, and also PM me so we know. I will coordinate and match crafters and donors, and deal with any admin. We now have Paypal to make donating easier for all. So please PM if you would like to join us, or if I can help match you. Knotty will try to answer any queries you may have. Sincere heartfelt thanks. Thanks

Once again the wool we are using is:

  • Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK (NOT the baby cash)
  • Rowan Cashsoft DK
  • Sublime Extra Fine Merino Wool DK
  • Artesano Superwash Merino DK

The Colours
Pinks, warm purple, greens, blues, silver, cream
If choosing cream we ask that you go for the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK 013

Themes
Flowers please, also initials F, P and L.

4mm needles or hook.

Do use the crafting guide on the website to help you with lots of practical info, and if interested there are a lot of linked suggestions for squares.

Previous blankets can be seen on the Woolly Hugs website and we are on Facebook and Twitter at MNWoollyHugs which are good ways to keep in touch.

But once again, we thank you so much for your support X Thanks

Thanks :) Wasn't sure if I could even find the tied off end to frog it! I think it'll be practically invisible once the seams are crocheted on to it.

goinggoinggoth · 29/08/2012 08:49

Hey all. Pistey I'm out the country until late on Tues (for some reason thought last posting was Wed!) so will it be okay to make a hand delivery like last time? Otherwise you won't get it till Friday probably - up to you though!

Will try check phone for update later on when near WiFi .

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/09/2012 13:44

NoWay - hand delivery is more than ok Smile

I'm a bit concerned my squares haven't arrived yet. I posted them either Monday or Tuesday last week (can't quite remember which). I'll be keeping my eyes peeled on this thread and hoping to see they've arrived soon.
