www.mumsnet.com/Talk/life_limiting_illness/1410385-19th-Feb-Wubblybubbly-passed-away?msgid=30174070#30174070 Sad I think it's time we made another blanket.

Not to me. I confess I still look at my brother's fb page, though it would be easy enough to get it taken down. I know some of his friends still look occasionally too. I've still got his phone....

KnottyLocks · 22/02/2012 08:00

Morning, lovely people. Smile

I've got proper work today but will keep checking in when I can.

Realistically, I'm not expecting MrWubbly to contact me immediately: he must have so much to do and has Lawrie to look after. Sad.

I have a Plan B should I not hear in the next couple of days.

DonkeyTeapot · 22/02/2012 09:05

I've seen a couple of post above referring to an MNer who owns a wool shop. I am more than happy to put my business her way and would absolutely expect to pay full price for any yarn I purchase - as another poster mentioned, times are hard, and if our MN blanket helps another family to make ends meet, I'm all for it.

hairypotter · 22/02/2012 10:21

I would be happy to use Lydia again if possible. More than willing to pay full price and postage. She was fab last time and as donkey says, if we can help another mnetter, that's a bonus.

TimeForCake · 22/02/2012 10:44

Totally agree with the previous two posts. I expect to pay full price but would much rather support a MNetter if possible. So many of us will need wool anyway so it seems appropriate to support a MNetter & her business if we can. Lydia was very generous on the previous two occasions and I'm sure no one expects this again.
Fingers crossed Lydia will agree if and when we get the go ahead.

NoMoreMarbles · 22/02/2012 11:16

i have been looking at colours in this kind of shade...am i on the right track? i am going to get cracking at the weekend (im a slow knitter) so i will be wool-buying on saturdaySmile

SoupDragon · 22/02/2012 11:26

Wrong wool though - don't buy the Baby cashmerino :)

angelpantser · 22/02/2012 11:52

I'm currently watching two auctions on ebay for Debbie Bliss Cashmerino. (10 balls of the same colour - one set in a lime green and one in a forest green). If I win I'm happy to share some around at 1/10 of what it cost me +P&P. If anyone else is doing the same I'll happily bow out of the auction.

If the blanket is not needed I can use up the wool for my own projects.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/02/2012 13:36

Pouring with rain here

Definitely agree about supporting Lydia if she is happy to do the posting part, but as we all agree, only at proper prices. I know we wouldn't expect her to give us a discount again , but equally I don't want her to feel she should offer one either! She was totally fabulous before, I agree Smile

I might see if I can find her today and ask if it comes to another blanket, what she thinks.

I hadn't thought of ebay, that is genius!

NoMoreMarbles - the wool you want to be looking at is either Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK or Rowan Cashsoft DK. Maybe hold fire on buying until Knotty hears though, unless of course you can use the wool for something else.

Lunchtime now.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/02/2012 13:37

angelpantser - that would be so mad if you were bidding against another MNetter for the wool!

PurplePidjin · 22/02/2012 13:46

Raining here too, dp is getting the nearly dry washing back in Sad

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/02/2012 13:52

PurplePidjin · 22/02/2012 14:17

tillyfernackerpants · 22/02/2012 14:37

Hi, I've not been part of a blanket knit before but would love to contribute. I can do a square or two if someone can donate some wool

RatherBeOnThePiste · 22/02/2012 15:17

Thank you so much Tilly, that is so kind, we are just waiting to hear from the family, but if we are on, then we will definitely come back and contact you Thanks

I have just sent a PM to Lydia, just to find out for if we get the go ahead.

browneyesblue · 22/02/2012 18:22

I see Mr W has updated his thread. If the blanket is going ahead, I would love to contribute. I can't knit, but I can buy wool if someone sends me the details.

PurplePidjin · 22/02/2012 18:41

Thanks for the info, browneyes Thanks

Knotty will pop you in her superduperwhizzyfancypants spreadsheet next time she's online Grin
