We have heard the dreadfully sad news that Chipmonkey's baby daughter died unexpectedly this week. Condolence thread is here Chipmonkey has said tonight that she would love to receive a MN blanket.

Because Knotty is snowed under a mountain of wool, I am taking on the coordination for this, so if you are a donor or a crafter needing a match - please PM me and I will match you up. I know there is an amazing army of donor, knitter and crochet stars, and I am hoping that you will feel able to help with this blanket too.

So if you feel that you can help, please PM me with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, don't need wool, and I will sort it all out, and when you are ready to post, PM me for the address.

I will have to get back on the deadline...

But thank you in advance.

Pidj, I agree, it would be better if we didn't need another one. Sadly there is someone who is going through a terrible time now, but think the situation is quite delicate - Pistey and knotty, any update? I've been thinking I could probably do the construction if it was required.

KnottyLocks · 14/11/2011 06:57

August, I'll PM you later this morning.

We are coming to the end of this first stage of the blanket for Chipmonkey, and there are only a few more squares to come here.......

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 19:03

How many squares are there now?

KnottyLocks · 28/11/2011 20:42

Soupy, we have plenty. Oh yes....squillions, in fact. People have been so generous: total [stars]

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 22:42

Whats the world Record for biggest blanket?

KnottyLocks · 28/11/2011 22:53

Er, we won't be attempting that just yet.

SoupDragon · 29/11/2011 07:20

Oooh - it appears here is a current attempt in Scotland. Only 71,000 squares. Sadly no crochet allowed.

KnottyLocks · 29/11/2011 07:42

No crochet? They are missing some classy squares there. Wink

That's a great idea though. Bless them.

SoupDragon · 29/11/2011 08:23

I imagine it is a World Record rule that is ha to be knotted. Perhaps there is a Worlds Biggest Blanket (mixed construction).

Wouldn't fancy all the work putting that blanket together and edging it ! :o

duchesse · 29/11/2011 14:23

I need heavy-duty decaffeinated coffee!! Also need to place a towel on the deckchair of this thread...

KnottyLocks · 29/11/2011 14:38

I'm meeting up with Pistey in a couple of weeks time to get the squares. Realistically, the blanket won't be done until January now.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 30/11/2011 08:45

Duchesse - love the idea of putting a towel on the deckchair of this thread...
Grin

And having several of these... Brew
