We have heard the dreadfully sad news that Chipmonkey's baby daughter died unexpectedly this week. Condolence thread is here Chipmonkey has said tonight that she would love to receive a MN blanket.

Because Knotty is snowed under a mountain of wool, I am taking on the coordination for this, so if you are a donor or a crafter needing a match - please PM me and I will match you up. I know there is an amazing army of donor, knitter and crochet stars, and I am hoping that you will feel able to help with this blanket too.

So if you feel that you can help, please PM me with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, don't need wool, and I will sort it all out, and when you are ready to post, PM me for the address.

I will have to get back on the deadline...

But thank you in advance.

Morning.

I feel utterly crap this morning. So much so that I am considering phoning DS2 and DD in sick. DS1 is on half tm for another week. DS2s fluey bug has caught uo with me!

AugustMoon · 01/11/2011 10:49

Hi Piste just needed to catch up with this thread as I've been a bit slack (actually busy making booties for two friend's babies born this month!) BUT I now have some squares to send and hope not too late...? I saw you got loads of parcels on Saturday from (seems like) everyone else - btw Grin at Ms Loose Hooker! - and thinking that means you're constructing now - eek
Have PM'd you for address, thx
x

VeryLittleGhastliness · 01/11/2011 11:57

Pistey

I have 5 more squares, all different crochet motifs, if you want them ( bloody insomnia last night & I thought a bit of hooking would help me unwind).

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/11/2011 14:02

Lunchtime - yaaaayyyyy!!!

Soupy - hope you feel a lot better very soon.

AugustMoon,VeryLittleGhastliness, MissIngaFewmarbles,Mouseface - I've PMd you

Beautiful woolly square from TimeforCake today. Thank you Thanks
Cakey - tis gorgeoise, and I'm enjoying your optimism on my behalf! My crochet is going. Just not sure how well I'm half way through a square that has turned out to be a generous six inches. Arse. Will inevitably be starting again, again!! Grin

A quick note from me to say I delivered Whatevertheweather's blanket today. She is such a lovely and remarkable person. Her thank you thread is here

Glad my square arrived safe & sound. The 6" part eluded me too Pistey, I had to undo many rows, many times! But hey, this time a month ago I couldn't do one row and nor could you. We must be moving in pigeon steps in the right direction!

I would love to be a fly on the wall in your postie's house at the moment though. He must be imagining all sorts! Grin

SoupDragon · 01/11/2011 20:10

Mine are going to be late.
Very late.
Later than I intended.
I feel dreadful but it's "only" a fluey cold so will be gone in a few days and I should be able to focus on the crocheting before then.

Sorry!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 02/11/2011 06:30

Wine Morning

octopusinabox - I look forward to receiving them, no apologies needed. Thanks

TimeForCake - yes teensy, weeny, baby pigeon steps! Although the one I'm doing now is the right size the closest yet to the right size anyhow but it looks like it has a bloody hole in it and it bloody doesn't

soupy - really sorry you are suffering and hope you feel better very soon. Sounds miserable for you.

As usual, out until lunchtime......

hic.

KnottyLocks · 02/11/2011 07:06

Yeah right Grin

Soupy, hope you're feeling a bit better today.

No PMs to return!!! Wow!!

But gorgeoise blue crochet from PrettyCandles Thank you Thanks
The more I try crocheteering, the more I am in awe of those who can.... Well actually I am in awe of everyone who knits too! And does sewing. And proper cooking like making jam. Everyone is amazing Grin

Thanks Thanks

And thank you Mouseface, it has arrived and as soon as I know what colour is required for edging and hooking it together, your very kind donation will be put to a very important use Thanks

And there is a parcel for me to collect from the delivery office, I have a red card telling me so. I am just so hoping that it will be addressed to the Loose Hooker and I have to go and explain myself to the posties. That would certainly make me on a grand scale! They are open 8am-12pm so I shall go on my way to work in the morning. If you hear howls of laughter at about 8.01am, that'll be me! Grin

Pistey, you are a soggy legend Grin

KnottyLocks · 06/11/2011 10:26

I've asked for this thread to be moved to Arts and Crafts to preserve it. Smile

alibubbles · 06/11/2011 13:34

Oh... I missed this, is it too late to knit? If anyone wants to send me some wool, I can do a square or two a evening.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/11/2011 14:09

And hey presto Knotty - we are moved Smile
alibubbles - have sent you a PM... Thanks

I am on square 7 which may be the last as I don't think there will be enough left for an eighth. Maybe a plain one.

KnottyLocks · 06/11/2011 16:33

Bravo, Soupy. Grin Let's say seven and bung in the leftovers for us to use.

SoupDragon · 06/11/2011 16:41

One small technical hitch is that I cant find any of my three Pesky End Needles. most of the ends got sewn I as i went but there are a few left hanging. Can not for the life of me work out what I've done with them! probably down the back of the sofa cushions where I have spent most of my time this week.... :o

KnottyLocks · 06/11/2011 18:32

Pesky pesky ends.

Be careful where you sit now, Soupy, or your arse will resemble a pin cushion.

I can't believe I'm about to say this but don't worry about the ends, we'll sort em.

purplepidjin · 06/11/2011 18:36

Cheers, Knotty. Although, it will give Her Soggy Looseness something to do in between buying us cake Wink

KnottyLocks · 06/11/2011 18:50

Indeedy Pidj. Best policy to keep her out of trouble is to keep her busy. Works for me Grin most of the time

KnottyLocks · 06/11/2011 18:53

She's extended her crafty skills to sculpture today.

As Mr Craig Revel Horwood would say, "Astonishing". Wink
