We have heard the dreadfully sad news that Chipmonkey's baby daughter died unexpectedly this week. Condolence thread is here Chipmonkey has said tonight that she would love to receive a MN blanket.

Because Knotty is snowed under a mountain of wool, I am taking on the coordination for this, so if you are a donor or a crafter needing a match - please PM me and I will match you up. I know there is an amazing army of donor, knitter and crochet stars, and I am hoping that you will feel able to help with this blanket too.

So if you feel that you can help, please PM me with your offers: crafting, donating, need wool, don't need wool, and I will sort it all out, and when you are ready to post, PM me for the address.

I will have to get back on the deadline...

But thank you in advance.

Any lemon drizzle going round Nell? Just had to undo loads of my square. Doing it in the evenings clearly meant I was oblivious to it shrinking a little, every row.Confused Grrrrrr. Going to have to stick Peppa on for DS while I sort it out, or it'll never be finished. It is most definitely time for cake!! Grin

Glad they arrived. < i hear that being a bunny-girl is a good career for a daughter >

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/10/2011 15:45

Knotty - it will be my pleasure to lend it to you. No. I insist.

3 squares went to the post office this afternoon. Will need a signature before you can have the delights of my knitting.

Thank you to whoever donated my gorgeous ball of wool. It was lovely of you and it was lovely to knit with.

NellVarnish · 28/10/2011 19:07

Oh no TimeForCake, how frustrating! Grrr.

Am in dire need of cake myself as didnt have time to make any today. It's Friday night and there's not a crumb in the house, nor a droplet of wine. Shock

angelpantser · 28/10/2011 19:15

Posted 6 grannies in silver and purple today. The purple is lovely, I may have to find something to make so I can use it again. I'll have to work my way through the mountain of wool I already have first. Blush

NellVarnish · 28/10/2011 19:25

Yes it's lovely wool angel, I love crocheting with it, so soft and snugglesome. I started another project today with some Stylecraft DK that I've got lying around and it feels horrible now compared to the cashmerino.

TimeForCake · 28/10/2011 19:55

No cake or wine Nell?? Good grief, that's a sorry state of affairs on a Friday night!
Wine cracked open here and crochet has improved a little Grin.

NellVarnish · 28/10/2011 20:12

Yes a little glass of Wine always improves my tension. Wink

When I have finished crying with laughter, I will be able to post a list of all the gorgeoise woolly wool that has just arrived....!!

So I was ready for the postie today, dressed, no 5 ft 10 bunnies in sight, no pole dancing outfits, I was ready. And he arrived with ten glorious parcels. Wow!!

My lovely Postie gave me eight of them, and then went to get the ones to sign for, which he held up like a placard.......

Nelly - Could you not have written that ANY BIGGER???!!!!

Poster sized writing on her envelope addressed to The Loose Hooker.
"You'll need to sign for these Ms Hooker," said he, with his eyebrows like this ^^

I must stop it, it's giving me lines.

LadyWellian · 30/10/2011 12:14

Glad they got there safely, Pistey. Sadly no bunny onesies in our local outlet, though had there been I think they would have been too big as DD is very far from 5'10" (still nearer 4'10", though she's putting in a considerable effort).

NellVarnish · 30/10/2011 14:39

Mwahahahahaha Pistey! [hgrin] If only I had been there to see it! I had to make it big writing as I didn't want my grannies to get lost en route.

And you're more than welcome, glad you liked your extras. [hsmile]

When I was in Primark this week they had those onesies, leopardy animally print ones, none in my teens size though sadly or mine.

SoupDragon · 30/10/2011 21:17

I have been a little slack with my hooking. I've got 4 squares finished but still have plenty of wool left. I promise to try very very hard to post them tomorrow but I've been up at school from 3-8pm setting up and helping to run our fireworks display. I'm knackerd.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/10/2011 06:52

Brew Morning

So if I'm a Loose Hooker Soupy, does that make you a Slack Hooker? [hgrin]
Hope the fireworks went well.

Out until lunchtime, so will answer any PMs then and hopefully announce more safe arrivals of woolly wool.

SoupDragon · 31/10/2011 09:07

Nothing slack here!

Fireworks were fab but I ache so much from standing up for over 5 hours with no break and hauling stuff around!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 31/10/2011 14:03

Gorgeoise pink knitted squares from posterofaquiche Thank you. Thanks

I feel like I have a shocking hangover, but I REALLY haven't , I think I just scoffed one too many Hallowe'en sweets and treats, and all the sugar and fizz has settled in my head Confused

Out until lunchtime, MissIngaFewmarbles - I have sent you a PM, and I have replied to the others [thumbs up] Thanks
