Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

Such a lovely thing you knitters are doing!

I'm not great with a needle so would like to contribute some wool or money, whichever is easiest for the organisers.

WTW I was told of your thread and I'm so sorry for your loss, both your daughters are beautiful. I haven't been strong enough to read through it yet but I will sit down and do so tomorrow. I felt a lot of disbelief at first, numbness and I really didn't believe it could be happening. Again, I'm so sorry for you :(

KnottyLocks Thankyou Ive ordered some wool,none of the stores listed were close enough to get to easily.I just hope it arrives in time for me to get stuff there. At the risk of seeming stupid,what size squares am I knitting?

I posted some photos of Scarlett before but I've got another link to them now with a few newer ones of her grave and flowers :( Obviously they're quite sad and the ones of her are when she'd just been born after being inside me for 4 days before I was induced (we knew she'd died). I'll try and add it to my profile also. I added one this morning of Scarlett with dh too. Oh and at the time I couldn't scan the ones of her so they are a photo of the photo if that makes sense.

Purple - many thanks for the offer unfortunately I live near the east coast luckily my MIL knits and when I have a spare 5 hours minutes she is going to help me knit more than a hat and scarf.

hi, ive spoke to Debbie Bliss (not the lady herself!) this morning order is in and to be dispatched today, and i should receive them tomorrow/monday. If people want to reserve colours and pay once i have the stock in the shop thats fine.
The colours ive ordered are
cream
pale green
pale blue
lilac
pink
They didnt say any were out of stock so fingers crossed we've got them all!

We haven't set a last posting date yet, but realistically it won't be for at least another 14 days or so as Magic8's squares are still in production.
The last posting date for Magic8's squares is Friday 9th September.
