Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

If anyone remembers about a squillion posts ago and possibly on another thread, 100years was rushing to get her squares done before her due date...

Baby girl born 13:36 on Friday 9th September weighing 6lb 9oz Grin

Congratulations, 100years, if you get a chance to read this Star

Lovely squares, the baby is gorgeous!

I've sent mine and Hairy Potter's squares today, I hope they will arrive in time. I've uploaded a tiny picture onto my profile.

Knotty, sorry about the scribbled note you will receive, after some speed-knitting I was running for the post office.
Smile

Moanna · 16/09/2011 22:33

Hi everyone, I received my wool from sauvignon this morning. I have three squares completed (on profile) and may manage to get a white one done with left over wool.

I will be posting them all on Monday - hope that will be OK?

KnottyLocks · 16/09/2011 22:58

Monday is absolutely fine Smile

KnottyLocks · 16/09/2011 23:00

And congratulations to 100Years. Your little baby is very very beautiful.

SoupDragon · 17/09/2011 10:06

Glad to hear Monday is fine as I'm not going to make last post today :) I've just got back to these squares having finished the baby blanket I was making for a friend.

Moanna · 17/09/2011 10:49

Am I still posting them to pidj?

KnottyLocks · 17/09/2011 11:10

Moanna, post them to me, please. I'll PM you now.

Moanna · 17/09/2011 11:16

Thanks, have replied.

angelpantser · 17/09/2011 11:25

Posting mine on Monday too, Knotty. Am currently sewing in the "Pesky Ends" and will parcel up and post first thing on Monday. I may even get to put pics on my profile. My donors stayed anonymous but a big thank you to them.

KnottyLocks · 17/09/2011 12:06

Ah those pesky ends Grin

Woolly shout out thread is here. Check to see if your squares have arrived.

NessaRose · 17/09/2011 12:19

Knotty have PM'ed you.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/09/2011 12:57

Arse. I missed the post Knotty Sad I ran and ran as fast as my little legs would carry me......
OK, well technically I didn't actually run but I missed it anyway.

SoupDragon · 17/09/2011 15:57

Squares are done and all packed up, ready to go.

SoupDragon · 17/09/2011 16:07

oh no :(

purplepidjinawoollytangle · 17/09/2011 16:49

Soupie, your turn. Knotty and I are already up to our armpits organising five, yes five blankets - we physically can't take on any more at the moment Sad

LatteLady · 17/09/2011 17:26

Mine went off to you this morning, if you want to see what's coming here they are.

SoupDragon · 17/09/2011 17:26

Sadly I can't as I'm up to my armpits in personal shit. I just don't have the emotion energy to spare. :(

KnottyLocks · 17/09/2011 17:35

Oh God, that's another tragic story Sad A dear friend's child had Edwards.

I can't think in terms of another blanket at the moment only because I'm doing these two and trying to sort the raffle. I've got work and my family too Smile
What I can do is see if there are any squares left over once I've sorted through. I'll have a clearer picture by then end of next week as I know there are a fair few squares coming in late.

Once we know, then maybe we'll see, but I can't promise it'll be me to sew it up. I'm ok with the admin bit though...

RatherBeOnThePiste · 17/09/2011 18:00

Oh my word - Bloody hell that's tragic Sad Blimey Sad

Knots - I would be very happy to sew a blanket together, if you showed me what to do. I am very good at learning things. And I am being serious with this offer you know Smile

KnottyLocks · 17/09/2011 18:13

Piste, that's very kind of you. You are lovely.

I already feel I have a connection to this story, so will more than likey take it on as I can't not, if you see what I mean. Maybe we can do it as a team.

I'll watch the thread. I don't think it's appropriate to contact them at this time though. Unless of course anyone knows CupofTea?

KnottyLocks · 19/09/2011 09:51

Morning all.

I'm sending PMs round today: reminders for those who haven't sent their squares. If you have sent yours and get my PM, I apologise. Smile

SongBirdsKeepSinging · 19/09/2011 10:17

I dont know cupoftea but would be willing to do more knitting if you need additional squares knotty. I would need more wool though.

SoupDragon · 19/09/2011 10:18

Mine are ready to go in the post today. Ignore the note with them that talks about hoping it is the last blanket for a good while.
