Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

Soup your poor Ds sounds nasty. sorry about crapola typing Just come out of hopspital after having a anaphlyactic shock yesterday.
I can't wait till my woool arrives the ds's go back to school tommorow.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2011 17:10

He's actually come off lightly I think. There was a possible hairline fracture just above his ankle bone, completely non displaced and so almost not there that they aren't sure it actually is there. Given the rough nature of the game, that's a result! I rather think he will be disappointed if he ends up with no fracture after this.

But I wasn't able to crochet whilst waiting for XRays and plastering as the pattern is on my iPad which was being fully utilised as an electronic baby sitter.

SoupDragon · 05/09/2011 17:11

Hope you're fully recovered !

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 17:32

Blimey, Nessa! Hope you're feeling better. Do you know what caused the reaction?

Soupy, sounds like your DS may have got away with it. Hope so for your sake as well as his, or he'll be one frustrated boy after the novelty's worn off.

NessaRose · 05/09/2011 17:54

Soupy, I am alot better just feellike i've been hit by a bus. and the steroids are making me sleepy and uncoordinated. Glad your ds is ok!

Knotty it was a rubber dogs toy am alergic to latex.

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 17:57

Right Nessa, you need to get rid of the dogs. Grin

(A tad biased here as I'm allergic to them)

NessaRose · 05/09/2011 18:06

Knotty, we don't have dogs it's my dbro's! it was my own fault tho.

HELP!

Right I am sitting in front of laptop, credit card at the ready.

Can someone confirm that I need to order

Debbie Bliss cashmerino DK.

My wool should be on it's way to my lovely knitter today. I really wish I was a better knitter myself so I could join in more.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 05/09/2011 21:52

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 22:51

TinyWee, my twin, how could I possibly ban you?

Now, did you order the wool?

TinyWeeTeethGreatBigBite · 05/09/2011 22:54

Yes, at last I did Knotty!

I have just PM'ed you, (tis working now on laptop!)

Ah PMS=PM's, the feeling of rage that both invoke is very similar!

KnottyLocks · 05/09/2011 22:55

Excellent. Mission accomplished.

belledechocchipcookie · 05/09/2011 23:08

Ok, I've received wool (thank you to RatherBeOnThePute) and have started. Have received your DM with the address so as soon as I've finished I'll pop them in the post. Smile

TimeForCake · 06/09/2011 08:45

CoffeeandChocolateplease - did the wool that you received come from Lydia? Just wondering if I might be your donor? If not, I ordered a cream and lilac ball to go to the West Country last week. Hope it's arrived ok :)

Whenisitmysleepytime · 06/09/2011 09:07

I picked up my wool from the post office.
It's gorgeous stuff! It will make a gorgeously tactile blanket.

Rather glad I ordered extra for me! :)

Just got to have a shower and hope dd has a really big nap so I can get knitting!
