Following on from the blanket for Magic8 which is under construction, we'd like to offer one to Whatevertheweather who has recently lost her baby daughter.

I know there is already an army of knitters and crocheters and donors out there; would anyone be able to join us?

so Knotty, are these squares being sent to you?

KnottyLocks · 03/09/2011 19:39

Afraid so, PKM

KnottyLocks · 03/09/2011 19:52

Pidj will be available as my expert consultant...as long as I feed her cake.

SE13Mummy · 03/09/2011 20:07

I've got all confused and posted the below message on the wrong thread Blush start-of-term-itis is to blame.

Anyway, on Thursday I ordered 3 balls of wool (jeans, soft teal and mauve) and sent them West. If you are the arty recipient of these please don't feel you have to use all of them up on this project.... there were too many gorgeous shades to choose from and I couldn't make up my mind. Please feel free to put surplus wool towards another MN knitting project or anything else you're making that could use it.

Thank you for being willing to share your knitting skills so that I am able to donate.

Oh silly postman! He tried to deliver my wool today and we were out. Apparently wool is too large to squish through my letter box.
I'm getting itchy fingers waiting to start as I am not a speedy knitter.

Good job ds is back to nursery on Monday and I can crack on then.

Hope everyone is doing well with their wooly endeavours! :)

I have had the most enormous tooth abcess since Thursday ( think cartoon stylee swollen face ) am dosed up with mega anti=biotics and wobbly leg pain killers. I have done one square for Whatevertheweather's blanket and hope to be well enough to do the other 2 before wed. What is your last day for delivery ? I reallly want to be part of this blanket too and will send just the first square if I am going to be out of time,The wool is DB008 the colour of the sky over Port Erin yesterday.

Trumpton.

I have got the wool for Cheese's squares ready to knit . It's a lovely pink the same colour as the seathrift that flowers out at Scarlett.

trumpton · 04/09/2011 09:02

I am so sorry if I have mixed up names and blankets,I am doing squares for magic8 and whatever at the moment.

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 11:14

Ouch, Trumpton. I hope you feel better very very soon.

I'm getting confused myself. Confused

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 11:29

The colour of the sky over Port Erin...how very apt Sad

VerityBrulee · 04/09/2011 12:01

I have finished two squares, one of which is an E. I'm using cashsoft in a soft greeny blue. I have enough for one more square. Any preferences on what I do? I can do any letter.

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 12:14

Verity, a 'K' please for Erin's sister.
Thanks.

VerityBrulee · 04/09/2011 12:37

Great, I'll start it now Smile

Georgimama · 04/09/2011 12:48

Verity, do you have an easy chart I could follow to do letters please?

Mouseface · 04/09/2011 13:13

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! PayPal hates me! Lydia - can I send you a cheque? Or payment another way? Sorry. Will PM you too. x

Thumbwitch · 04/09/2011 13:37

For Cheese&Gherkin's blanket, the letters E, M, C and S would be lovely please, if anyone fancies picking those up?

Mouseface - Paypal hates me too. It's mutual Grin

VerityBrulee · 04/09/2011 13:40

Georgimama, I have great charts in a book called Natural Nursery Knits by Erika Knight.

If anyone wants to pm me their address, I can get dh to photocopy it and post it to you Smile

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 13:49

A pox on Paypal, eh Mousey.

youarekidding · 04/09/2011 13:49

OH Excited.

I navigated paypal, ordered a ball of wool from Lydia and it should be soon winging it's way to my reciprient.

angelpantser · 04/09/2011 14:12

My wool has arrived - many thanks to my donor. I have a pretty apricot colour and a lovely silver grey. Hopefully getting MN back on my laptop today or tomorrow (a voluntary 'ban' during the summer holidays, in case I became so absorbed in MN that I forgot to feed the family etc) so will add pictures of the squares made for Magic's blanket then.

KnottyLocks · 04/09/2011 14:32

Angel, I think there is a little more on its way to you. Just remember to feed the family too.

angelpantser · 04/09/2011 14:42

Brilliant, thanks Knotty. Big ones go back to school on Wednesday and my DS starts Reception the following week. I'll be glad to have something to do to take my mind off being the oldest mum in the playground.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 04/09/2011 14:46

Knotty, have PMed Lydia to order a further 2 balls of wool for the second person you matched me with-won't let me PM you !

Georgimama · 04/09/2011 15:13

When I get my wool I will do initials for Cheeses' blanket.

Thumbwitch · 04/09/2011 15:53

Thank you Georgi - hope it comes soon! :)

Mouseface · 04/09/2011 20:03

SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!! Grin

Sorry, I can't let this happen twice, it happened with Edgar, I couldn't get PP to work and tried to be for a way to pay although I did send cards to her and the lady who lost her husband, Richard.

Somebody MUST want my money. It's real and everything! It's not made of cheese, I promise! Grin
