Are there any objections if I use the leftover wool from the Edgar and Rindercella blankets to make something for Blondes? I've got loads! Anyone with leftovers feel free to pm me about either sending it on or sending more squares :)

I hadn't heard of it till I started doing these blankets, tbh. I don't bother as you can tell by how scruffy my stuff is

All ends sewn in, 4 of them 6x6 and one crunchy one going in an envelope now! ( With a bit of spare wool)

purplepidjin · 31/05/2011 21:11

Whoop! Thank you, ali Grin [gold star]

Do y'all think MNTowers might give us a Star emoticon if we asked really nicely? Just as a little thank you for all your hard work?

Got the address - they are both packaged up with the spare wool ready to go when I go to the post office. Have put them in freezer bags, and a waterproof envelope, and then will put them in another - paranoid, moi?! Now wondering whether to send them special delivery or something, they're my babies!!

Have made something little extra for Blondes too, but will send that direct to you Blondes if you PM me your address again?

So pleased to be part of this, and cant wait to see the finish thing!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/06/2011 20:01

Ahem Blondes, are you calling me wooly? Don't forget I had a man in to sort that out this morning Grin

Pidj - I have posted my request for the star too - fingers crossed, and then I can give you the first gold star that I give to anyone...

purplepidjin · 01/06/2011 20:12

RatherBeOnThePiste · 01/06/2011 20:54

T'is all true Pidj - it's mumsnet at its finest, and you are a central part of that on this thread. I would pass you a gold star now if we had one (hint hint)

There's a lot of bickering, aggression and stupidity on MN, and that is often what you hear about, but I think the warm generosity, kindness and strength of support to others is what should define it.

So we need gold stars please RebeccaMumsnet urgently! Grin

DutchOma · 01/06/2011 21:35

Blankets has always been Mumsnet at its best. We were all so very, very pleased when OJ got her blanket. And there was one before that which I knew nothing about.
Never before though have we eeded four blankets in such quick succession.
