Thanks Womma Blush

AYC, tag yourself!! Take credit where it's due [mwah]

The blankets are looking amazing and utterly gorgeous. Purplerabbit, please could you take photos of the finished blankets from every side so that we can see the detail of every single square?

How are you doing for squares? Do you need any more and when is your new deadline? I could order more wool, but it wouldn't arrive until after Easter.

purplerabbitofinle · 19/04/2011 15:16

Thank you, silken. I think I'm ok for now but will let you know drowning in soft fluffy woolly loveliness

Todays shoutouts to:

FrazzledBlob for helping me with the construction - a wonderful morning in Lymington Grin

SpawnChorus - lilac dragonfly and heart and green lion (I shall have to unpick one from Edgar's blanket and put him on! Too cute!!)

MagicOC - four balls of wool to do the edges with! I've pretty much decided to do a DC border with a little heart at each join Smile

[mwah] to everyone

SpawnChorus · 19/04/2011 17:32

purple - thanks so much for finding a space on Edgar's blanket. Don't know if Pixie warned that they would be on their way late - we had postie issues. Is there any possibility the dragonfly one could go on? That was the first one I made as it seemed so apt. Sorry - I know this is a herculean task for you, so I am just v grateful for you to squeeze any square in there at all. I will be sending more squares for Rinder's blanket as well (oh, plus the leftover yarn!) Smile xx

purplerabbitofinle · 19/04/2011 17:41

I'll see what I can do but the Edgar blanket is nearly ready for edging and I'll be unpicking to find room for the lion! Thank you though x

magicOC · 19/04/2011 20:02

Glad they arrived purple. That edging sound gorgeous, can't wait to see it all done and ready for Edgar. Smile

womma · 19/04/2011 20:11

Ooh, I'm so excited to see the blanket, like a six year old at Christmas! Bet there's steam coming off that crochet hook.

purplerabbitofinle · 19/04/2011 20:15

I'm doing my best Grin

frazzledblob · 19/04/2011 22:17

I think I did see steam coming from purple's crochet hook!

I have never seen crochet like it, it was an honour to sit in the presence of such a master of the hook Grin

If you fancy more coffee, cake, my constant chatter, and awkward attempts at crochet give me a shout :)

purplerabbitofinle · 19/04/2011 22:37

Anytime, and thank you for the help! Blush

Am I a master hooker or a mistress hooker?

frazzledblob · 19/04/2011 22:43

LOL I am not entering that discussion - would professional hooker be more suitable?!

leeloo1 · 19/04/2011 22:48

Glad mine arrived safely - sorry again they were on the late side. Did they make it onto the Edgar's blanket [fingers crossed].

Hope the making up is going well. :)

purplerabbitofinle · 19/04/2011 23:15

Leeloo, yours will be on Rindercella's. I hope that's ok?

Ooh, I'm a pro!

womma · 20/04/2011 08:39

Well done Frazzledblob too!

leeloo1 · 20/04/2011 22:52

Oh no. Ummm, well I guess its my fault for not managing to get them done in time, but I had hoped they, or at least some of them would be on something for the Edgar's - as they're who I made them for.

purplerabbitofinle · 21/04/2011 07:08

Leeloo, the lion definitely will! As I said, I will unpick a plainer square to make room for it.

It's just that unpicking work I've already done is a totaly faff, so I'd prefer to only do it for one square - ie the lion, which represents Leo - and use the others for the other blanket.

If you'd like them back instead, PM me your address

purplerabbitofinle · 21/04/2011 07:09

Oops, sorry Leeloo, I just looked back at who made what! I think at least 2 of yours made it onto the Edgar blanket x

frazzledblob · 21/04/2011 19:05

hows it going purple?

hope you've been able to enjoy the lovely weather today, although it would be baking hot crocheting under all those lovely squares Grin

purplerabbitofinle · 21/04/2011 19:56

I'm at work today so no sunbathing here! Pics ready to go up when I get home Smile

leeloo1 · 21/04/2011 21:45

Ok, thanks. I must have got the wrong end of the stick as there was talk earlier of a really big blanket being made for them all to snuggle under, so more squares being needed... not to worry though. Thanks again for all your hard work.

purplerabbitofinle · 21/04/2011 21:54

Pics are up

Leeloo both blankets are 5' x 5'... possibly bigger from the amount of squares promised [boshock]

leeloo1 · 22/04/2011 19:11

Cor thats a lot of squares! [bugrin]

womma · 22/04/2011 20:49

Just seen the blanket in FB, it looks great and I'm very proud to see my squares there. Thanks for adding them Purple Grin.

purplerabbitofinle · 22/04/2011 21:00

leeloo, it's 40' of edging and 50'^2 in total [bushock]

Womma, today's 11th commandment is Thou shalt tag thyself [buwink]

MinnieBar · 22/04/2011 21:25

Only just found this thread - have tagged myself - very exciting to see my little square next to everyone else's!

I'm slightly confused though - are there now two blankets for the Edgars or one plus cushions?

Working on the Rindercella one this week.

Amazing work, really well done!
