That sounds like a really good idea, purple. Do you think you are going to need any more squares - I could get another ball of yarn this weekend, and do probably three more, with some decoration with the odds and ends of yarn I had left over from the other ones, if need be.

purplerabbitofinle · 15/04/2011 12:23

Yes please SDTG. Thank you Smile

purplerabbitofinle · 15/04/2011 12:36

Todays shoutouts go to:

Cloudpuff - 5 in dark purple and royal blue

GentleOtter - 2 in teal

MNistooaddictive - one in duck egg

Bumperlicious - purple and grey heart and purple ribbed

I've also been contacted by an MNer in Australia to say hers are on the way!!!!

womma · 15/04/2011 14:56

Shall we get knitting more squares then? I have some wool left over

Only just found this thread, I wondered where everyone had gone to!

purplerabbitofinle · 15/04/2011 15:42

I started a related-ish thread in AIBU so a lot of people are there shouting at me Grin

foundwanting · 15/04/2011 15:43

purplerabbit I don't want to hassle you because you are doing such a fantastic job, but have you not received my squares?

I sent 5, and about half a ball of yarn last Thursday (7th). Bloody Royal Mail.

Hope they turn up soon, but if they are not in time for the original blanket I'd be more than happy for them to be used for something for Rindercella.

purplerabbitofinle · 16/04/2011 21:07

foundwanting, did you identify them? Have I put them upthread somewhere as anonymous?

whydobirdssuddenlyappear · 16/04/2011 21:15

Oh fab, you got them!

foundwanting · 16/04/2011 21:25

I put a note in with them. Sad

I might have to go and get stroppy with the nice lady in the Post Office. I'll give it a few more days.

ohfuschia · 16/04/2011 21:41

Oh phew am glad you received and liked the balloons - thanks.

purplerabbitofinle · 16/04/2011 22:01

foundwanting, my next day off work when i might have some energy and dp might get a shag is Monday so I'll have a look then Wink

It's quite possible that I've missed them. Have a look in the Mumsnet Blankets folder at www.facebook.com/mimapants I just uploaded pics of the very-nearly-complete Edgar one and all the extra squares I've got...

zisforzebra · 16/04/2011 23:15

I can't see mine listed either. I hope it's not sitting in a sorting office somewhere. It's duck egg with a check pattern with a bobble in each check. I can't see it in any of the pictures either.

I'm happy for it to go in Rindercella's blanket if it arrives too late for edgar's.

purplerabbitofinle · 17/04/2011 07:11

zis, i'm sure i posted that that one came last week??

Check out the photos www.facebook.com/mimapants

Bumperlicioso · 17/04/2011 08:47

Thanks purplerabbit, glad you got mine safely.

foundwanting · 17/04/2011 12:11

purplerabbit I'm sure that shagging your DP is much more important than chasing down some knitted squares. Grin

Just hope they turn up in time to be used for one of the projects.

I do feel a bit peeved with Royal Mail, because I was being soooo organised, even posting before the deadline. Best go back to my old do-it-in-a-rush-at-the-last-minute ways.

purplerabbitofinle · 17/04/2011 13:17

Foundwanting he's a very d p so its my first priority!

I've photographed all the spares and posted them on www.6acebook.com/mimapants so have a look there if you haven't already

zisforzebra · 17/04/2011 16:56

Oh yes! Sorry Blush It's a good job my knitting skills are better than my observation skills! Grin

purplerabbitofinle · 17/04/2011 17:15

Foundwanting I've just reread the thread - did yours come on the 7th? A load came but they all got muddled because the bunny was getting interested...

purplerabbitofinle · 18/04/2011 11:44

Todays shoutouts to:

Leeloo1 - six in blue/purple/duck egg with flowers and stars

frazzledblob · 18/04/2011 13:56

oh my I have just looked at the photos on fb - there are so many beautiful squares.

LOL at seam ripper.

I am sure that all the crochet you are doing Purple will soon burn off that chocolate Grin

purplerabbitofinle · 18/04/2011 14:05

And tomorrow's cake?

womma · 18/04/2011 17:27

So please you got the squares Purple, hope the initials aren't too late to make it onto Edgar's blanket.

I thought you'd need some extra energy for the crocheting, the chocolate will burn off super fast!

purplerabbitofinle · 18/04/2011 18:01

I saved a space knowing they were coming, Womma. I'll do the last row tomorrow when I meet up with FrazzledBlob to do the edge Grin
