I won’t be voting Tory, but I’ll damn well be spoiling my ballot in green, white and violet ink, a ballot that otherwise would have gone for Labour.

KalimbaMoon · 14/04/2023 08:53

I can’t vote Tory and have never voted Tory. But Rishi is saying all the things here that I wish Keir would say. Labour would have my vote in a heartbeat then. Nobody has piled on Rishi or cancelled him for knowing what a woman is. What is Keir so afraid of?

EmotionalSupportHyena · 14/04/2023 08:54

RoyGBivisacolorfulman · 14/04/2023 08:45

And the Torys even more so.

Labour haven't had a chance yet.

They’ve had plenty of chances to make they stance on biological sex clear, sadly they live in clown land.

Boiledeggandtoast · 14/04/2023 08:54

Can anyone clarify whether he said no woman has a penis or no woman has ever had (my emphasis) a penis? Subtle difference I know.

The anti science, anti safeguarding, anti woman mob.

I am really impatient with everyone, get on with it, you have looked at the sea, maps and weather, now turn the ship around, enough already.

Rishi’s been saying that Woman = Adult Human Female and ‘biological sex really matters’ since Feb, a man who amputated his penis wouldn’t fit that definition!

Rishi Sunak

Rishi Sunak says biological sex 'really matters' - BBC News

The PM was asked about the case of double rapist Isla Bryson during an interview with Piers Morgan.

Yes I'm still waiting for deeds not words. Rishi's words are much more promising than Kier's, but what action is he now going to take?

HagoftheNorth · 14/04/2023 09:01

Roadtrips I’m aware of a woman being raped & gaslit on a hospital ward in Scotland, but not aware of any inEngland - can you provide details if I need updating? Otherwise, it’s worth remembering that healthcare in Scotland is presided over by the SNP - with somewhat unsurprising results

RoyGBivisacolorfulman · 14/04/2023 09:03

I just can't get over the mindset that this one issue to the detriment of everything else mental health, schools, nhs and all of the sleeze that you would still vote them on this one issue.

I am not saying it's not important. However to most people they can't afford to heat their homes.

I am trying to understand other people's reasoning I am. Everytime I just can't get my head around it. To vote Tory is horrific unless you are rich.
My life is worth now than ever as a 40 year old woman with a daughter. All under Tory.

sashagabadon · 14/04/2023 09:03

Good to hear.

SerendipityJane · 14/04/2023 09:03

Where's those new houses ?

Some people will say anything to be elected. Even lie.

Thank you EmotionalSupportHyena. Good to know.

'I’m revolted at Labour’s inability to provide a credible opposition. Labour are embarrassing 😥'

Totally agree. No way I'm voting Tory, but I can't vote Labour with the absolute state of them on this issue. Starmer just has to get his head out of his arse

Whaeanui · 14/04/2023 09:06

To vote Tory is horrific unless you are rich.

This is the problem and why you can’t understand why people vote Tory. Plenty of people that aren’t rich vote for them. You won’t get them talking to you about why until you change your black and white, narrow thinking.

Thats why I ask. I live in a red wall that went blue.

I understand that a lot voted on Brexit. I don't agree but I understand they were sick of it dragging on. They also liked Boris and his charm and hated Corbyn and liked the status quo. I see that point of view. I don't now which is why I am asking.

It isn't black and white to realise most non rich are poorer under the torys. That's just a fact.

3peassuit · 14/04/2023 09:11

I don’t think I could bring myself to ever vote Tory so it looks like I’ll just have to spoil my ballot paper. I live in an area where any idiot with a blue rosette will automatically get in and don’t feel too bad about my decision.

If Labour had been in power they wouldn't have stopped the Scottish GRR bill. They would have brought in self-id for the rest of the UK. How would that help you or your daughter?

I live further north in an area Labour have taken for granted. Labour ward, Labour council, Labour MP, Labour Metro Mayor.

It’s a shit show. Everything is crumbling around us and it’s just not credible to blame everything on the Tories.

Voting Labour up here is voting for more of the same shit.

RoyGBivisacolorfulman · 14/04/2023 09:16

It’s a shit show. Everything is crumbling around us and it’s just not credible to blame everything on the Tories.

It is hard for them to get funding when the torys are in power. We have more funding than ever but thats just to keep us sweet. They clip your wings when they are in power.

*She isn't getting amy help now with Asd and severe mental health issues.
It's affecting her life ( the under funding) very adversely.

I again am not saying it isn't important. Just wondering how some people can vote on this one issue when there are so many other issues as said.
I am not a huge fan of Labour either.*

Theimpossiblegirl · 14/04/2023 09:20

They've been in charge for a very long time. This is just one thing he's said among so many poor decisions. Don't be fooled.

HagoftheNorth · 14/04/2023 09:20

Roy, the problem is that if the gov follows Stonewall law then:

for girls (and some boys) education is fucked - no safeguarding against child abuse and huge encouragement/pressure to medically transition or adopt highly sexualised highly gender stereotypical persona

for women and girls the NHS is fucked (woman raped & on hospital ward, then gaslit)

if you demonstrate GC views at work you will be fired

if you demonstrate GC views online you will no longer have access to social media & other coms - you will be cancelled. If you demonstrate, you can be beaten u.p and the police will do nothing

there will be no women’s sport

And none of this is because I think transwomen are inherently dangerous; but I do think dangerous men will take every opportunity they can to access vulnerable women and children.

And this is before we get on to specifically vulnerable women like those in prison, those accessing de or rape crisis services…

there will be no data to demonstrate any of this

Actually, I really can see why this could be the number one issue when deciding who to vote for. Tories are Late? Yes, but better late than never

Whaeanui · 14/04/2023 09:21

It isn't black and white to realise most non rich are poorer under the torys. That's just a fact.

Is it? Historically this is the case? I’m not sure what Labour would do now that would improve things for people. If we talk about the present day. NZ has all the same problems we do under their Labour govt. Our current problems are related to things I don’t think labour would have a different approach on. You also have to remember that people didn’t just ‘not like Corbyn’, the party had an anti semitism problem.

Whaeanui · 14/04/2023 09:23

Im sorry to hear that, I have some experience too. But what would labour do differently in that area? Given the links between transgender ideology and ASD, are you not concerned she still wouldn’t get the right support under labour?
