Today was another Parkrun Saturday and like every weekend the achievements by women was demoted by men running in the female category.

We are hoping to change this! In only a few weeks time, we will debut Reality Rules Runners UK at Parkrun. We hope that many hundreds (hopefully thousands) of you will join us to send a clear and strong statement to Parkrun about the huge support there is for fairness and sex-based categories at their events.

All sports events are responsible for putting on fair events. This includes free, volunteer run, community events like Parkrun.

So please tell people about Reality Rules Runners UK, as we are hoping to attract lots more supporters before our debut at Parkrun on 3 October.

Thank you! 🙏

You reminder that men and women taking part in Parkrun wear or do nothing on the day of races that would tell people what gender they are registered as. They don’t wear names or even numbers. There is no ‘transvestigating’.

They wanted thousands, then reduced that to 1750, then to 1000, then to 750, and then just whatever they could muster up. It's been an unmitigated humiliation and failure.😂

😘

You are part of an anti trans (or gender critical if you prefer) movement; I believe that movement is making women and trans people less safe in the way I set out above.

If you are NOT part of that movement, then maybe I don’t mean ‘you’. But I think you would say you are?

If you think Gender Critical Feminism is "an anti trans movement", you understand neither Gender nor Feminism.

Gender Critical Feminism was a thing way before the current incarnation of trans activism.

Of course, we just called it Feminism back then, and Gender was just one of the mechanisms through which we understood women's oppression within Patriachy. We didn't expect anyone to be so daft as to try to make Gender an actual movement to live by!

OK, let's take this slowly. If he's not a young girl, but a late teenage boy, they're not staring at a young girl, which is what you are complaining about.

If they are, then he (used for the purpose of this, would clearly rather use she) is one.

Which is it?

So I know none of you believe in the concept of intersectionality, but THIS is the exact kind of situation it could help you think through.

‘Misdirected or misplaced misogyny’ is one way of thinking about what’s happening here in relation to trans men’s experience.

Okay I'll go slow for you.

He's a young man.

Since he socially transitioned several years ago, both men and boys (at school and outside) have targeted him for sexual harassment and abuse. Staring, filming, comments, touching.

As.i have said many times, boys would tell him: "it doesn't count."

This is the issue.

Trans children are seen as fair game for abuse, starting with staring at and making vile comments about their bodies.

Which moves swiftly to actual assault.

I think you'll find, as someone in their anecdotage, that I repeat this all the time on here.

That in the past (which used to be the present - still with me?) he was told that it was fine for boys to sexually harass and abuse him. That is what trans children suffer at school. All of it enabled by anti-trans online abuse.

Oh and tolerance of the photos Linehan posts.

It's her name. I don't support.her in the slightest, because she's a paedophile.

I have her blocked on social media, never interact with her and have made it very plain how I felt about what imo was grooming behaviour towards Sophia Brooks.

My sympathies are entirely with her victim. It must be awful seeing her so prominent on social media.

I don't give a damn how she identifies and her weight is completely irrelevant. What matters is standing up for survivors.

What she did was evil, it was life-destroying - and using playground taunts in many ways undermines the seriousness of what she did.

Attributing a very male pattern of offending to a woman is doing quite a bit more than only ‘undermining the seriousness’ of what he did.

The reason he is being abused, which is absolutely horrific, we agree on that, is because he, and I am being kind here by using he, is female. No more no less. It happens to lots of girls and women and is abhorrent. But that is what's happening here.

So men and boys treating your child like they’d treat any other girl. So take it up with men and boys. What do you expect women to do about it? Dont you think if we could get men to listen to us about their we’d do so and stop men killing thousands of women a year and assaulting and raping many many more?

Nope, simple Feminism works just fine.

Patriarchy considers female bodies in public fair game for public (which in patriachy means male) comment and consumption.

That the female person in question believes herself and wishes to be accepted as male changes this not one whit.

Which is why Feminism is important, and Genderism is tissue thin fantasy.

Awful. Your poor child.

ArabellaScott · 03/10/2026 23:40

It's very well understood, I think, that many women who choose a 'trans' identity are seeking to escape male abuse in a sexist society.

And unfortunately, as we can see from TPA's account, it often doesn't work.

murasaki · 03/10/2026 23:41

You can't identify out of people seeing you as female. There was an awful case a few years ago when a transman was raped in a taxi, and couldn't understand and kept saying 'but I'm a man, surely he knew that, why?' It was horrible. The rapist didn't see her as a man at all.

No you might say he might have raped a man, but I don't think so. The whole thing was just so very sad, her confusion was heart breaking.

Or the poor girl put in a male psych ward and raped multiple times within hours of being in there. Unfortunately those men did not see her as a fellow man, or her gender identity, but as her female sex. That is why GI is such a misogynist movement.

Rollingpinofdoom · 03/10/2026 23:46

ArabellaScott · 03/10/2026 23:43

There was also a very upsetting incident in Lambeth hospital, where a woman who identified as a man was placed in the male ward, with horrific results.

https://www.qebholliswhiteman.co.uk/site/library/recent-cases/charlotte-godber-defence-crown-court-proceedings-ongoing

But that is what TRA such as those PP are advocating for. If TIM are to be put in female wards and prisons, it stands to reason TIF would be out in male wards and prisons. They wouldn’t stand a chance. @Canadanian this is what you are advocating for right, TIF in male prisons and psych wards? Because this is the result.

ArabellaScott · 03/10/2026 23:48

Not to mention losing all maternity/pregnancy protection.

And the mirror of that is Karen White.

None of it should happen.

Yes, that was the stand out trans inclusive bit of the SC ruling. And a good thing.

And access to RCC. If TIF are seen as men, they wouldn’t be able to access female only RCC, or even ones that include TIM, and as far as I know there are very few RCC for men

You - you do know "intersectionality" isn't specific to trans people, yes?

women's rights are human rights.

We are just asking for women's sports to be for women, not for cheating men.

😊

Trans women can't even play grassroots football. (And only a handful were when they were banned, something their friends protested.)

They are banned from the Olympics (having failed to win anything at all while competing). And all major & minor competitions. A few occasionally turning up to run round a park is not a cause worthy of wasting thousands of pounds on.

If you want to support women, then stop spreading the myth that it's being male which determines success.

Women have proved their excellence (and domination over men).at endurance events, and it's not a surprise that it happened in a category where women can train alone.

Women's team sports are way behind this due to decades of unequal coaching, lack of sponsorship and predatory, sadistic male coaches - but that's changing.

Records are being broken in women's cricket every year now they have equal access to coaching and actual salaries. Rachel Heyhoe Flint has trophies and the East Gate named after her at Lord's now, but she wasn't even allowed membership of the MCC until 1999. She fought for what we have now.

If you want to support women's sport, then pay to attend it. Please. We need to make sure the efforts of RHF and other pioneers aren't in vain, and make sure women's sport continues to thrive.

We haven't even scratched the surface of what women are capable of in sport - because men have always argued that we'd never be as good as even the most mediocre man.

I don't know how you can't see that you're sabotaging that progress. Women don't need protecting like delicate house plants, they need celebrating for their strength and prowess. You're making the same argument Bobby Riggs did before he challenged Billie Jean King to the 'Battle Of The Sexes.' Which he lost in three sets.

There is already sex testing in women's sport, and it's set to get more humiliating because of the hyper focus on a minority who never once got a medal at the Olympics.

That is not feminism.

murasaki · 03/10/2026 23:52

It's a have your cake and eat it thing. But for TiFs, it's the right thing to do. The femaleness needs to be acknowledged in certain circumstances for safety. Even by them.

A cheek swab once in a lifetime is not humiliating. And any results that need investigating will be, which could lead to positive medical interventions for some people.

And medals don't matter as such, anyone who stole a place deprived a woman of an opportunity to compete.
