Feminism: Sex and gender discussions
SirChenjins · 06/08/2026 22:09

Webberley really didn't handle that well, did she. It's difficult to defend the indefensible at the best of times, but she fell over her own feet time and time again. I laughed out loud at some of her ramblings - the interviewer was right on top of her, so good on him for holding her feet to the fire.

Shedmistress · 06/08/2026 22:14

Just think about if it was you.

If a child came to you as a medic and said they want to not go through puberty the first thing you'd do is explain what puberty is, and list all the developmental changes, and the results and also list all the future problems with the drugs.

She had none of it. Like, zero. I seem to know more about the lifecycle of a carrot than she does about children/growing up. I can talk for hours on end about my expert subject, pros, cons, effects of light, heat, moisture, germination, root growth, nutrients, varieties, seasons, pests, diseases, prevention, protection...on and on and on.

And her explanation of autism had steam coming out my ears!

Just watched it all the way through. I'd never heard Webberley before.

Hate to say it, but I thought Webberley came across as more thoughtful, while Kellie and Konstantin both came across as rude and aggressive. If I'd been a neutral observer, I would have been swayed by Webberley's calmness.

I'm utterly gender critical, and the debate hasn't convinced me out of that. There were things Webberley said that I found horrific.

But these days people pick up on vibes as much as content. I do think the rudeness and aggression Kellie and Kostantin showed is counter-productive, and will put lots of undecideds off a gender critical position.

Thanks for the laugh. Webberley: thoughtful! Calmness! I'll assume you weren't watching the correct programme.

Yeah, calm and thoughtful are not words I'd use to describe HW's performance 😅

dinodart · 06/08/2026 22:00

no decently thoughtful person would debate this from that side, cause it so obviously falls apart at every point. it's built on contradictions and falsehoods, and goes blatently against reality with it's "transwoman are woman" "transmen are men". you gotta have a certain level of narcissism and delusion to think you could actually debate it, instead of just saying "no debate".

Well that is exactly what she ended up saying, but not only no debate but off to prison you must go.

PrancingPanda · 06/08/2026 22:28

Webberley- more thoughtful?? Calm? Really? I didn't see her being calm. Clutching at straws more like.
Contradicted herself even when it was pointed out. And all the table prodding got on my nerves
Kellie was better- more compelling.

I wish Konstantin had asked HW if she wonders/knows what the trans community think of her?

KJK discussing it live now

That's weird, I paused it to do something else and when I can back it had been removed

Soontobe60 · 06/08/2026 22:43

I’ve watched about 20 minutes of this and I cannot believe what absolute utter rubbish HW is spouting. She’s bloody mad!

Sorry, but anyone who listens to the actual words HW said in that debate, regardless of how she said it, and think she may be talking some sense, must be utterly deranged.

"A train is a motorised vehicle". Thank you Helen. You've sorted that out thank you

A train is pulled by a motorised vehicle, the engine. Tbf I misspeak this a lot of the time myself.

Thank you people that watched this. Can't bear the woman, she's like nailing jelly.

Hedgehogforshort · 06/08/2026 23:07

For all those on here getting blood pressure issues, once i worked out my position,

I sat on the norty step, on a number of ocaisions.

i learnt to temper my language and let the twats (not dissimilar to TWAW) do the talking.

And now i see it as sport.

I love judge Judy not because I necessarily agree with her politics, but because of her one liners

“it’s like shooting fish in a barrel”

And then the icing on the cake when Petri Hawkins Bird said “ and there’s me thinking he would make something up”

it is now just sport to me and we know who always looks stupid.

shine a light

Waitingfordoggo · 06/08/2026 23:11

HW: You’re quite rude actually
KJK: I don’t care about being rude

Helen’s face! 😂 👏🏻

Alucard55 · 06/08/2026 23:22

I'll listen tomorrow. Can't watch as HW makes my skin crawl. I get the same feeling from Russell Brand.

I do not care is always an excellent response to nonsense.

DrSpartacularsMagnificentOctopus · 06/08/2026 23:28

Wobberley knows that she's talking nonsense, it's why she consistently (insistently and persistently?) looks like she's under the spotlight as she has to manage her cognitive dissonance.

I've just tried to find K-JK's early live video about HW but to no avail.

do you have a time stamp for that? xD

ElenOfTheWays · 06/08/2026 23:34

So what have we learned?
Some things Helen Webberly doesn't understand (apparently)

Child psychology
Gillick competence
Consent
Puberty
How puberty blockers work
How cross sex hormones work
Sexual orientation
Sex M/F
Autism diagnosis criteria
Women's rights
Hormone replacement therapy
Menopause
Free speech
What a train is
Furrys/animal genders (trans dolphins are dolphins you bigot)

Alucard55 · 06/08/2026 23:38

I can't work her out. I don't think she genuinely believes the nonsense she spouts and it's very obvious that she pretends she "doesn't understand" simple questions.

It's when she starts on about young girls who are sharing a space with a TW (her language) predatory man (my language) that they simply shouldn't look at his penis.

Even some of the most diehard TRA's will accept that there is a conversation to be had around the issue of women and girls feeling uncomfortable sharing a space with a biological man.

Absolutely no compassion towards women from HW.

FedUpCelery · 06/08/2026 23:57

34.35 When kjk lists the risks of stopping estrogen production - vaginal atrophy etc. and Helen disagrees.
Then 35.35 realises that when she mentions she isn't taking any hrt that Helen is about to list (smugly) back to her the very risks that HW has just disagreed with.

It’s about 17.05. Enjoy!

Also 😂 @ 11.35 when Helen says ‘Whoa!’ and KJK laughs and says ‘what do you mean ‘’Whoa’’?’

Helen Webberley reminds me very strongly of the character Professor Dolores Umbridge in one of the Harry Potter books/ films.

There's no sense of Webberley being genuine or meaning anything she says. Everything she says is made up and fake. She is an entirely constructed character made out of narcissism, spite and hunger for power.
Unfortunately unlike Professor Umbridge, Helen Webberley is not a fictional character.

SodThisHeadache · Yesterday 05:31

Webberley's about as calm and thoughtful as Dolores Umbridge.

What was that T shirt all about?
