Have just caught up on Wings, excellent to see Euan Sparkles' fraud is under investigation. The fundraiser is paused but they are now using the funds to pay for Scott's recovery. As updated today.

We're living thru the biggest jump the shark moment in our body politic. Literally watching the sheer rot infesting the police (and other institutions like the NHS over the Darlington nurses, nurse Peggie etc) as they've become hollowed out.
Meaning that not only is vexatious litigation allowed, but the very speciousness of the allegations isn't challenged by anything approaching common sense within the organisation.

It does seem like that doesn't it? Once organisations got involved in sanctioning and intimidating those who refuse to comply with / obey a lie, they expose the ethical and intellectual void at their core.

I'm not up to speed on UC regulations but decades ago there used to be a lot of angst about social security investigators visiting claimants to see what the sleeping arrangements were in a flat in the hope they could find that A and B were a couple, not just flatmates, and hence A could be deemed to be financially dependent on B, who was working, thus rendering A ineligible for supplementary benefit. (I think.) Herbert has a job (for now). poppybear clearly doesn't. Don't know about Tabitha, or even if he lives with the others. The regulations were probably not set up for polycules, of course.

I am sure euan said he is married to Tabitha. But I don’t think Tabitha lives in the same place. So legally Herbert and Sophie are flatmates even if they are handfasted.
