The Rev is Stuart Campbell, former video games journalist and now Wings over Scotland. I’m not sure if he’s really a Rev or if it’s a joke.

I am frankly stunned that any Police force anywhere is even picking up the phone to LW. I mean they managed to chuck him out so he can’t have that much power and influence over them. If there’s such a thing as a vexatious complainant he is certainly it.

I hope this hasn't been hyped up now and we will all be disappointed.

wings was set up to promote scottish independence during the referendum. It’s fair to say Stu has gone off the snp a bit since then. He’s trying to get police Scotland to look at the outstanding financial irregularities and they really really don’t want to. It’s maybe fair to describe him as a determined expert amateur - he’s brilliant at FOIs and has lots of receipts going back years
and if definitely not want to be on his radar!

Whilst we’re waiting for Wings (waiting in the wings?!) I had a look at the judgment (on OP) and one thing leapt out as being utterly barking. If the CPS can’t distinguish between a claimant and a suspect, it goes some way towards explaining some of their previous actions - or lack thereof.

no fuckin way! I remember Stu Campbell from the late 80s and early 90s. He worked for Future Magazines who published Your Sinclair and was it Amiga Format. Latterly he did some work in Edge (a glossy games media magazine which was vair expensive but the top end of games industry journalism if you ask me).

He famously put some hot take of an old game that nobody played (Death Chase maybe) at his #1 of all time 100 great speccy games. He knew how to wind up / troll the readers even back then.
