The neuroananatomy study was 24 people - hardly generalisable is it, and was based on the probability only of transgender women’s (ie men’s) being neuroanatomically similar to women’s brains. Most transgender women were closer to men in terms of neuroanatomy, and the study itself states that transgender women still have male genes and physical characteristics . Did you actually read the study?
And the CNN police study is also ridiculous- states with inclusive laws of course will have no reports, as men in womens toilets is not against the law in these states.

In all of those examples the adjective is describing a woman.

Trans as an adjective points out that the person is NOT a woman because the adjective means ‘opposite of’.

White woman = woman of Caucasian descent
straight woman = woman who is sexually attracted to men
gay woman = woman who is sexually attracted to women
…………..

Trans woman = Opposite of a woman.

To an extent I agree with you, but the problem arises when you have those who don't want to use the new spaces and are adamant that, despite the evidence to the contrary, they have a fundamental right to use the single sex facilities that match their perception of themselves, and not their demonstrable real sex.

No. Trans-identifying women are female, so of course they belong in women’s facilities. A woman using the men’s does not prove that women should accept men in theirs. It proves this ideology gets sex wrong in both directions.

The obvious answer is sex-based facilities, with a separate private option where needed. Why is that apparently harder than pretending male and female are interchangeable?

Again, there are a lot of "subsets" of women, white women are a subset of women. Straight women. Old women. Young women. These are not insults.
