Started because a thread on Girlguiding was getting too off topic.

No

AImportantMermaid · Yesterday 12:43

No - if they were they’d be called women. There’d be no need for the trans.

He'll be inviting people to email him next....that happened on the GG thread.

My pronouns are she/they, but I won't because I now realise how stupid that would be

No they aren't and no they shouldn't

Hope that helps

I should have read the whole thread. It would have saved me typing exactly the same thing 🙃

They are called women, much like women who were assigned female at birth are cisgender women. Trans is just an adjective

Your pronouns are I and me. That's how you refer to yourself.

How other people refer to you is up to them.

So, trans women are women. I have the evidence too. This is a study done by the NIH looking into the neuro-anatomy of 24 trans women pre-hormone therapy. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8955456/

There are also currently a total of 92 sex offenders who are trans women (this is 0.000135% of the population btw).

CNN did research into bathroom issues in the USA comparing states with inclusive laws vs. bans for trans women. They called various police departments and asked for crime data to do with trans people in the bathrooms that correspond with their perceived gender in both types of state. The conclusion showed that the inclusive law states had significantly lower instances of sexual assault in bathrooms as a whole. In the inclusive law states, many police departments reported 0 crimes.

You have “evidence” that men are women, do you?

in short, no you don’t. Women are adult human female. No men are women, whatever their subjective, changeable and unverifiable feelings about their “identity”.

And the Transman, with his full beard and bulging biceps can use the womens’ WCs. I can’t see any problem there. 👍

Good. A transman is a woman and obviously welcome to use women’s single sex spaces the same as all the other women, regardless of presentation.

Honestly mate, you're coming across as a real weirdo on a predominantly female forum. So...creepy...do you not see that? Desperately wanting men in female spaces...

Teaandscone · Yesterday 12:47

Nonsense.

Shedmistress · Yesterday 12:47

I remember the transes backing away from the brain scan evidence theory because they were worried about the brain scan evidence.

That was bloody years ago.

He tried, then tried to get us to email him, then got himself deleted.

My pronouns are she/they first of all. I also now realise how stupid that is, and I won't try and get people to email me. This is what this thread is for.

Trans woman is a compound noun not an adjective. It’s like sea horse - it’s not a horse.

even if we called this subset of men “women” it’s a lie and doesn’t change the fact they are men.

Ereshkigalangcleg · Yesterday 12:48

Nope 👎

MeridaBrave · Yesterday 12:48

They should not have access.

They can wear what they want. Use whatever names and pronouns they want. But they are biological males and should not have access to female changing rooms.

Genuine question - why not she/her? Why go to the plural after using the singular first - this makes no sense.

JadoreLeFromage · Yesterday 12:48

No. They are not women in any way. They dont have any right to womens spaces or groups

Odd, having read it I think this thread seems to be for people to tell you that you are wrong.

I appreciate the question. I am a trans-fem non-binary person. This means, while I was AMAB, I mostly see myself aligned with femininity. However, I do not see myself within the binary of gender, so that's why I use those pronouns

If TW were women they would understand how their bullying behaviour was inappropriate in womens spaces and not enter them.

I have bulging biceps. 💪🏻 does that make me less of a woman?

Trans is an adjective and the meaning of the adjective is “opposite of” so Trans Woman is “opposite of woman”. I see this catchphrase being used frequently ‘short woman, black woman, trans woman. All just types of woman’ but the people using it are failing to understand that:

  • Short woman = smaller that average woman
  • Black woman = woman with a skin colour that indicates higher melatonin levels
  • trans woman = opposite of a woman

No and no.
