Started because a thread on Girlguiding was getting too off topic.

That's quite likely.

Do you think that, for example, prisons, should be segregated by soul, or by biological sex?

Only for sex offenders

So does that apply to all anatomy then? Male lips, male toe nails, male eyelashes? Is there a unique male intelligence that comes from these unique male brains?

I don’t they’re unique at all? I think k you’ve misunderstood me probably because I’m not very articulate. I don’t think k there are girly lady brains and masculine men’s ones. I think the only think that makes brain male or female is the sex of the body it belongs to.

Sorry, can you expand?

I don't smoke and am always a tenor. Makes me popular with female voice choirs!

Oh good grief. I used to sing first soprano, but now I can manage tenor.

I always just put it down to straining my voice in the classroom, but now I realise that I've had a sex change.

Most criminals have sold their souls - where would they go?

You do get that a pair of lips on a man is “male lips”, right? Just like a male brain is any brain in a male head.

Changeisstillpossible · 27/07/2026 16:20

@viques

Sorry! It was just a quotation from the study.

Translation: this study showed that , when scanned, the brains of trans women were closer to brains of men than to brains of women.

murasaki · 27/07/2026 16:20

I have to say, someone who's seen their own soul is a new and interesting take on this. Much more fun than the usual routine.

Maybe they can get one on the never-never?

You asked about a reference to a ‘male range’ and that study was where the ‘male range’ referred to came from. Haven’t you read the thread?

Don’t try to police women’s language. It’s very rude.

don't try and police women's language

Are you telling me what I can and can't say? How very dare you try to police women's language it's very rude!

'Katie didn’t finish there though; she had a four-hour-long session with a clairvoyant, and walked away from it certain that she was a transgender woman. “I cried buckets that day, but it was the end of that session that I finally admitted myself that I'm a transgender woman. That was the point that I really felt female,” says Katie, “and I really felt my old self step back and Katie take over.”'

I used to sing first soprano too, i became an alto by having children.
Lucky I didn't become a tenor, that'd cause no end of trouble.

They are biological females due to this study: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8955456/

Also, if you think stripping down what women are to their body parts, that's what feminists fought against for years. Now women can get jobs, start bank accounts, own property, and so many more things. This is a very regressive view of what women are.

Is not stripping down women to their body ‘parts’ it’s their whole physiology, DNA and biology.

Feminism is fighting the power imbalance that women and girls are disadvantaged by, from males and patriarchal power structures. That power struggle is largely a result of the biological differences between men and women.

There is no study you can ever produce that can ‘prove’ that a man is anything other than a man - however his brain works and however much he likes lady things.

Amiiee · 27/07/2026 16:16

I just think we might not know the whole picture

I’m sure there are lots of things we don’t know.

But we do know that women are more vulnerable to male violence when undressed.

We do know that to maintain women’s dignity, privacy and safety in specific limited circumstances we need to keep men (even men who sincerely believe their souls are female) out of those spaces.

Men are statically bigger, stronger faster and more violent than women. We know this.

So I can respect another person’s belief about their soul and still keep them well away from female changing rooms, prison cells, toilets, refuges, sports etc etc

WrongKindOfFeminist · 27/07/2026 16:22

Indeed, not that we hadn't been able to tell from the get go.

Only for sex offenders

By soul or by sex?

And you'd allow male murderers into the women's prison estate?

Sunnibee · 27/07/2026 16:24

Ereshkigalangcleg · 27/07/2026 16:20

You do get that a pair of lips on a man is “male lips”, right? Just like a male brain is any brain in a male head.

So the answer is yes? Every bit of our anatomy has a uniquely male and female version? And so if there are male brains inside male heads , do they produce male intelligence?

Thanks, I’ll get on it. Now, who wants to lend me a microscope and some Petri dishes for my soul exploration and mapping?

Alternatively, pop down the Kia garage and buy yourself a Kia Soul. About 3k used.

CatAsstrophe · 27/07/2026 16:25

Amiiee · 27/07/2026 16:16

I just think we might not know the whole picture

You may not know, but the majority of us do know.

The whole picture is: sex is binary, men cannot become women, regardless of how they feel. The same as women cannot become men.

Oh, and souls ............ no scientific evidence to support the existence of souls, but if you want to believe you have one, feel free.

It's a bit early for mushroom season 🤔

WrongKindOfFeminist · 27/07/2026 16:22
