More women murdered in Ireland between January and July 2026 than whole of 2025. Sad day for us and a worrying statistic when I think of DD. Another very violent death this week. Theres no answer but I know you all know how I feel.

The point I'm making is that starting a thread about the murder of Irish women when 5 or the 8 women murdered in Ireland this year were immigrants is weird.

@DeanElderberry Calling it weird is a bit like a TRA saying obsessing about genitalia is weird or getting worked up about where people pee is weird. It's just an effort to silence a discussion.
It was clear very early on in the thread this was about female victims regardless of their nationality and several different cases have been discussed.
Off topic but I saw a Ken O'Flynn tweet this morning on drug shortages. The HSE can't say if drug shortages have had adverse effects as they never bothered to collect the data.
I know, from my own experience, that when a medication I am on was replaced with a generic replacement my bloods came back all over the place, I wasn't absorbing the replacement drug. For me it was quickly resolved but for someone who has a serious condition the outcome could be very different. Yet the HSE hasn't made any effort to collect the data. Maybe they feel it's pointless because it's out of their control but it's not very reassuring.
In a similar manner, we know that all,bar one, of the women murdered in Ireland were suspected to be killed by immigrant men.
That's just a fact.
It's not weird to notice that.
It's not racist to wonder why this is the case.
Cases such as the Pakistani rape gangs in the UK show how fear of being seen as racist can override the need to protect women and girls and if we don't learn from those failures then we are doomed to repeating them.
