David Tennant seemingly hates women

Just seen David Tennant on The Assembly. Might be a repeat not sure. Flabbergasted that in response to a question about supporting transwomen in women’s spaces he said people need to ‘stop the hatred’, step aside and ‘let people just be.’ (Imagine that being said in his over the top faux ‘man of the people’ manner.)

He was then asked a question about making Good Omen’s 3 when Neil Gaiman has been ‘cancelled’ due to the light issues of being accused of Sex trafficking and rape of women. Here, he simply said he couldn’t ’leave people on a cliffhanger’ and moved on.

So, he’s happy to literally line the pockets of (very alleged) male rapists whilst at the same time arguing women not letting men in their spaces is hatred.

Fuck David Tennant.

No there are two groups in society. Male, and female.

We restrict males from females. No matter the identity, sexuality or circumstance.

That, is consistent.

You want to decrease into tinier and tinier and tinier sub risk groups to justify your inconsistency, hypocrisy and goalpost shifting.

ALL MALES are restricted from FEMALES.

It's that simple and consistent.

Edited

It's all self-serving rubbish based on his own gratification, rather than anything with any merit.

Nice try at white washing the broad smears targeted at trans women as being only about risk factors for single spaces when we both know the dehumanising mocking applies regardless.

MN, X & Facebook are cess pools of ridicule & degradation of transpeople period that exists irrespective of single sex spaces.

What you are asking for is that we give the men who are trans women special access that the men who are not trans women don't get.

What I'm saying is you lack consistency in applying your risk principle as mentioned upthread.

Are all trans women deluded? I don't know. But 100% certainly all trans women are sexist, because the belief that the fundamental and defining difference between men and women is that our minds are different, and all the shit that happened and happens to female people because of our physical sex isn't relevant to being a women or to the existence of women's spaces and women's rights is sexist as fuck.

The idea that only the body & not the mind would have evolved with a reproductive function is scientifically illiterate. Yes, men & women overlap psychologically but also vary.

Your anger and hatred of women is leading to irrational thinking. You are driven to knee jerk respones but sadly they only show up the paucity of your argument. The harder you try, the fewer you convince.

I pity you. It must be hard to live with such hatred and denial.

Until soneone can give a coherent, from first principles case for why transwomen are the same as people of female body, there is no basis to lump them in with people of female body than male.

And no one will ever be able to make that case because transwomen will always be people of male body rather than female.

The only way you get what you want is by dehumsnising, objectifying, reducing and disempowering female people. By denying our own knowledge of our own lives.

Yes, it's the same old sexism. We, the female people on the end of it as we always have been see it clearly even if you cannot.

I want to be someone who is guaranteed single sex provision but the likes of DT are aiming to prevent that. So why isn’t he letting me and everyone who also agrees with me, be?

Lovelyview · 25/06/2026 09:24

Limoncellospritzz · 25/06/2026 07:47

All males are potential predators and sexual deviants. 99% of sexual assaults and more than 80% of violent offences are carried out by males. That risk does not change if somebody has an internal sense they are not the sex they actually are.

By this logic all lesbians are potential domestic violence abusers given their propensity for DV abuse as are all muslims potential terrorists, mothers potential child abusers, male teachers, male bosses, priests etc etc.

Are you suggesting all members of potential risk groups be restricted of access or just the ones you don't like?

Do you understand safeguarding at all? Do you understand why women have a separate changing room to men? If 99% of sex offenders are men - and that includes men who identify as women - what recommendations would you make regarding male and female changing rooms to reduce the risk to women of a sexual offence taking place?

HoppityBun · 25/06/2026 09:25

HumberSquid · 25/06/2026 07:07

Lol since when has being convinced you're right been a problem? Certainly isn't on this board.

Being convinced he’s right is a problem, though, because it means he can’t rethink, can’t reevaluate his opinions and can’t accept that others have opinions that might be more persuasive and that his own might be mistaken.

His comment about critics of the transgender community being “a tiny bunch of little whinging fuckers who are on the wrong side of history, and they’ll all go away soon.” Is revealing.

Ah. That must be why he called (potentially traumatised) women who don't want men in their single sex toilets, changing rooms, prisons and rape shelters "whinging little fuckers on the wrong side of history"
And hoped that they'd all be dead soon anyway
Also wished Kemi Badenoch would cease to exist. Such a charmer.

Wow
Any man or person who says that is vile.

Oh dear. This is embarrassing.

You're really struggling with how to apply data and evidence, think critically, and form a cogent, well-reasoned argument, aren't you.

The relevant data here is the male offending rate and the data that shows assaults on women rise significantly in mixed sex spaces, compared to female-only spaces.

That's what we risk manage on.

That's aside from us keeping males out of our spaces for privacy and dignity issues. Which are also important.

It's the law that males stay out of female spaces. You writing silly half-baked posts on here won't change it.

Oh dear. This is embarrassing.

Not understanding how principles work is indeed very embarrassing.

This makes sense.

Any biological males, no matter whether they identify as 'women', or anything else, should NEVER be in women's spaces.

OMG. We aren't even speaking the same language. Not sure if you don't understand your inconsistencies in terms of applying your principle or won't acknowledge them. Either way, it's no wonder rational people won't debate GC's.

Which bit is difficult for you to understand? Do you not know what a 'male' is and what a 'female' is?

You are being inconsistent unless you restrict access to all increased risk groups which you won't so save the hypocritical justification.

Keeping males out of women’s spaces is an entirely consistent stance.

We have sex segregated spaces, which is based on a long-held societal understanding of the risk between two groups of humans.

You are the one who wants to justify changing the groups, therefore it’s up to you to justify why the group of men you are championing should gain the privilege of moving spaces.

No other risk groupings have been taken into consideration, so throwing them randomly into the debate, as you are attempting to do, is irrelevant.

And if you think you can compare this to racial segregation, think again. The campaign to remove racial segregation was a campaign to remove that segregation. The current campaign is not to remove segregation, rather it’s an attempt to change the terms of that segregation, giving some people the special privilege of using opposite sex spaces, regardless of the negative effects on those who need them most, in this case, women.

The equivalent would have been white people claiming they were black and insisting that they must be given access to black peoples spaces, even though black people objected that this would make them feel unsafe.

Didn't Gaiman use his friendship with Tennant to exhort nude photos from a vulnerable woman? He said he'd give her Tennant's hotel room number if she sent him the pics? It was a while ago so I'm slightly hazy.

Personally I think it's disgusting that Tennant is so breezy about three different mates who have had accusations of rape or sleaze, while he gets angry to the point of wishing women didn't exist simply for wanting our legal right to single sex spaces.

Yes ISTR that’s one of the claims made by women.

Women’s single sex spaces and competitions came into being for good reason. Those reasons have not changed, because male violence is still a huge problem in society.

Evidence and risk management are not hate.

All males stay out of women’s spaces. It’s the law. And it’s based on data.

Don’t like the precautions we have to take to reduce the risk of male violence? Stop doing it then.

Women are not actually second class citizens, despite the concerted attempt to take away our rights.

👏👏👏

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/06/2026 09:57

BunfightBetty · 25/06/2026 09:14

We restrict women's single sex spaces to women. All women are allowed in. No men are. Because they're women's spaces, not men's.

That's it.

Wanging on about irrelevant issues and trying to shoehorn in data that isn't relevant doesn't fool anybody and just makes you look like a self-serving dimwit.

No males in the ladies.

That's all you need to know and abide by.

This.

HoppityBun · 25/06/2026 09:57

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/06/2026 09:54

Where do you think he meant they’d go?

If you e.g. tell someone who’s bothering you, or a cat or similar to go away, shove off or get knotted, you’re not telling them to die, nor do you care where they go, so long as it’s a long way off.
