So, @rosecoffeecup what do you think about the victim testimonies content? Please do explain your thoughts on That aspect of the report, rather than its' author or its' label.

Why do you care what I think about it? Do you need someone to read it to you and summarise?

The death penalty is never going to be reintroduced in the UK.
So put away your pitchfork and burning torch.

The death penalty does exist in Pakistan however. A group of local Pakistani rapists were sentenced to death just the other day for the gang rape of a French tourist (in front of her young children) in Lahore. No wonder the grooming paedos live here.

That’s not what I said. Their suffering is, however, being used for
political reasons. And I refer you to my other reply, which is - please read their testimonies and pay attention to the alcoholism, assault and rape in their own families. Where is the enquiry into those (presumably white) men?

My point is, this is a male problem and his “report” is skewed towards a sub set of men, quite deliberately, to whip up hate, which serves him. He literally starts the report talking about racism and immigration - this guy doesn’t give a toss for any girls. He would use whatever suits him for his own ends

The “subset of men” we are talking about are the girls’ rapists and traffickers, not just some incidental men. That’s why their common patterns and features are relevant. This isn’t difficult.

Where on earth did I say I was blaming the victims? Have you read the victims account? It is a fact that in many many cases the victims had unstable home life or were in local authority care. This is a factor in how these men then groomed the children offering gifts and attention. Let me reiterate I place no blame whatsoever on any one of these victims. It is the perpetrators and the authorities who are to blame.

My apologies - but maybe it would have been preferable to express that so eloquently in your first post.

The report isn't just about rape - young girls were also tortured, murdered, trafficked, drug abuse, degradation, bestiality to name but a few things.

No 12yr old should go through any of that.

It is unfathomable what was done to these children.

The worst possible things it wasn't just rape. I feel ill having read some of it, if I was a parent of one of these youngsters I'd be incandescent with rage.

Should the enquiry into the abuse within the Catholic Church be broadened to "all men"?

If there were more pitchforks and burning torches we wouldn't be in this mess..

It’s interesting that many of the initial comments are about how the report isn’t expressing itself properly, the wrong people are saying it, and how it’s going to be used to “create division” instead of what the report actually says.

All ways to dismiss the content without having to consider it at all.

Where have I heard that before?

No. They are ways to flag up an important issue with the report. Which is that the content needs to be front and centre, with facts and evidence presented to the public in order for them to draw their own informed conclusions.
The voices that need to be heard here are those of survivors, families and experts.
By centering himself and his views, with recommendations based on his own political stances, Lowe contaminates the report. What should be an unbiased public information piece, amplifying the voices of those that matter, becomes a tool to support his agendas on immigration and the penal system.

One of the things that struck me the most from that report is just how many of these girls were sexually or physically abused by their parents (mothers too). I suspect most - not all - of their parents didn't care what was happening.

It's clear this cycle of abuse starts in the home in the vast majority of cases.

Nothing. That just what all these rape / grooming gang apologists keep saying about the report. Disgusting. But shows why we are where we are.

Agniezs · 17/06/2026 11:46

Unsurprisingly some people are more bothered about Rupert Lowe than thousands of raped children. I do wonder if any of the posters helped the extensive cover up of the gang rape of children.

The report is harrowing and it was crowd funded. Restore Britain as a political party didn’t exist when the crowd funding was done. The fact the public had to crowd fund to get victims justice is incredible and it’s clear why Starmer hates X and wants digital ID as the money was raised very quickly.

I have followed this since the crowd funded - I believe Lowe does care and it’s clear THOUSANDS of people knew about this and covered up for dirty pedos. These people are wives, mothers, sisters of perpetrators, teachers, nurses, doctors, social workers, counsellors, councillors, police officers, MPs etc. And I always wonder how many are on Mumsnet threads worrying about themselves and their jobs and reputation and deflecting as private prosecutions are next.

It was all over the U.K. so so many women must have known and prioritised dirty raping men over children.

Without reading the report (and you can tell me if I'm wrong), I would surmise that the victims were not random. They would be vulnerable girls (no boys in this case, I think?) who were out on the streets with no particular place to go, whose caregivers did not know/care where they were, or had lost control of them. This would be most likely girls in care homes, or girls already being abused. It wouldn't be the girls studiously doing their homework in their bedrooms.

Twiglets1 · 17/06/2026 11:49

godlikeAI · 17/06/2026 11:19

@Ereshkigalangcleg I’m not saying no don’t believe any of them, but we should certainly be wary of this man’s motives (and the resultant skew that ignores all the other abuses that happen), plus - how on earth, as a country, do we have so many vulnerable girls? What is up with their families and backgrounds, and what is being done to fix that?

Seriously? First you want to focus on Rupert Lowe rather than the testimony of the women & girls who got sexually abused. Then you imply it is somehow the fault of the victims - their families & background.

Anything but look hard at who the perpetrators were. Because some people really don’t want to place blame there.

Absolutely. It needs a fully joined up approach, and social services particularly needs overhauling.

Labour voters if there are many left will focus on Lowe over the voices of victims.

No some were middle class girls. I recommend you read it. These girls suffered and people knew and didn’t help. This could have been any girl who lived in the wrong place or met the wrong boyfriend.

Fathers were arrested for trying to retrieve their daughters. Please look up Marlon West - he is on Facebook and X. He tells his story as a father.
