There’s a thread on Style & Beauty at the moment saying how hard it is to find nice v-neck t-shirts. Presumably we will all be mistaken for men in our crew necks.

Good luck Sal (and I am currently wearing a round neck T shirt, hoody, track suit trousers and crocs. I also have short hair so expect me to be brutally hurled out of the Ladies loos the next time I dare to pop in).

Judgment Update
The Full Federal Court has advised that judgment in Giggle v Tickle will be delivered on Friday, 15 May 2026 at 2:00pm AEST.
The judgment will be livestreamed on the Australian Federal Court YouTube channel
International Times:
🇬🇧 UK (BST):15 May at 5:00 AM
🇺🇸 USA East (EDT):15 May at 12:00 AM (midnight)
🇺🇸 USA West (PDT):14 May at 9:00 PM
We are hopeful the Court will overturn the first-instance decision that “sex is changeable” and confirm that “woman” has its ordinary biological meaning under the Sex Discrimination Act. We are also hopeful that our section 7D special measures argument will be upheld, protecting female-only spaces.

The cultural zeitgeist has shifted since the original hearing, and we go into this judgment with cautious optimism.

I thought this this case was the appeal, and so the decision will be final, is that not accurate?

3. If We Lose – 28 Days to Apply for Special Leave
4. Special leave is permission from the High Court to appeal.
5. The High Court grants it only if the case raises questions of law of public importance or affects the administration of justice nationally.
6. Special Leave Hearing
7. Usually before 2–3 Justices, often by video link.
8. If granted, a full bench of 5–7 Justices hears the appeal.
9. If Leave is Granted
10. Appeal is heard within 6–9 months.

Me too. Australia appears to have completely lost the plot on this topic. I expect her to lose but I really really hope I am wrong.

Sal is the most amazing woman. I have so much admiration for her, and I can't imagine the personal costs of what she's going through. Setting my alarm for 5am feels like the least I can do. Everything crossed for her, but I know it's most probably only the end of the current stage of the process.

Australia has traditionally been a misogynistic country so I imagine the man will win the case - although obviously hoping he doesn't. Sal is an amazing woman - if it doesn't go her way then it's just one small bump in the legal road.

I think the next (last) stage would be the appeal to the Supreme Court

High Court, not Supreme Court. High Court is higher than the Supreme Court. The High Court is the final level of the court system in Australia.
