Ooh, exciting.

SamphiretheTervosaur · 16/02/2026 14:10

Well! Maybe Our Hilary will reconsider her position on that "both side" stance now 😃

WallaceinAnderland · 16/02/2026 14:11

This is going to be The Streisand Affect isn't it

Rhaidimiddim · 16/02/2026 14:12

After Dr Cass's remarks over the weekend, making out the TERFs were just as bad as the TRAs, I'm quietly amused. It might be a learning moment.

ETA a clause to clarify which remarks.

Webberley admitted in one of her recent hilarious interviews that despite having no clinical experience in the field of gender medicine, she started prescribing opposite sex hormones to a man in Wales because she felt sorry for him.

Oh.

😬

deadpan · 16/02/2026 15:08

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The woman whose husband was struck off reports someone for being cautious.

AnSolas · 16/02/2026 15:13

🍿

Seriestwo · 16/02/2026 15:43

webberltys not an expert either. She said in her own forest practice that it was Susie Green who taught her about gender issue when she was a GP. How she wasn’t struck off then is beyond me

HermioneWeasley · 16/02/2026 15:48

The brass neck of this woman is unbelievable

borntobequiet · 16/02/2026 16:04

I do hope the BBC reports on this.

MelOfTheRoses · 16/02/2026 16:05

I am always amazed how the regulatory bodies give these activists the time of day, when there is so much important stuff going on.

In the courts, libel would have a much higher threshold. And TBH other charlatans are available.

It's all part of the TRA lawfare to submit vexatious complaints to regulators. Naomi Cunningham has been reported to the Bar Standards Board several times but all the complaints have been dismissed at first pass.

All Webberley has done is write a letter. And tell everyone about it.

That does not equal the GMC actually starting an investigation.

Webberley is like the GLP - all mouth and no trousers. (Pun intended 😉)

Indeed

The Regulation board of whatever profession involved has to look to see if the complaint meets a threshold for an investigation as end of day that is the sole reason it "Exists".

Some of the Stares in the USA are enacting legislation to stop similar acts using the civil administration and court system (to file BS but which still has to be unwound by the victim). I have seen is described as paper terrorism.

AMansAManForAllThat · 16/02/2026 17:08

I’m surprised Cass’s interview was that condemnatory given other statements she’s made. That’s very categorical for someone who’s supported the trial of puberty blockers on children.

APinkMohairJumperKnittedByAnImbecile · 16/02/2026 17:15

#Sadtimes. Or not.

There is probably a standard letter for such occasions 🤔

I thought she wasn't a medical professional any more.

I thought she wasn't a medical professional any more.

She isn't a medical professional any more as she let her registration lapse. She is now a disgraced former doctor.

She referred to clinicians providing gender-affirming care as “charlatans just handing out inappropriate drugs.”

GP probed for giving child, 12, gender-change hormones - BBC News

Good, she was very accurate

lcakethereforeIam · 16/02/2026 18:21

If anyone is interested the fragrant person who has commented below Webberley's article has a YouTube channel. 🙄

ArabellaScott · 16/02/2026 18:28

RiderOfTheBlue · 16/02/2026 12:06

Yeah well we all knew who Cass was referring to with the "charlatan" comment. Truth hurts doesn't it Helen?

Helen does refer to that about three times. 😂

Igmum · 16/02/2026 18:47

🍿🍿🍿

I shouldn’t really. It’s not a fair fight.

Ahhhh what the heck…

I counted four "charlatans". Webberley is clearly very butthurt, as the young folx say 😆

She described clinicians who provide gender-affirming care as “charlatans.”

She referred to clinicians providing gender-affirming care as “charlatans just handing out inappropriate drugs.”

She was given a national platform to repeat contested claims as fact, dismiss experienced clinicians as charlatans,

When she sits on the BBC and tells the nation that children have been “misled” and that gender-affirming clinicians are “charlatans,”
