Not a mention of the woman who’s trans, who did nothing wrong. This ruling is in direct conflict with the Gender Recognition Act. How is this happening? It is wrong on every level, and will be used to push trans people even further out of society and into danger

It always, always, comes down to appearance. It’s all about the look, the clothes, the hair, the make up, the handbag, the voice/pout/walk.

It can’t be otherwise, because what else does a man know about a woman, about ‘living like a woman’ than the superficial outward appearance he sees with his eyes.

If a man really wanted to be a woman, to live his life ‘as’ one, wouldn’t he do his homework? Surely number one is that most women have suffered sexism, sexual assault, male aggression, voyeurism, flashing etc. So maybe don’t insert your male self where you’re not allowed, welcome or wanted.

Either way, there will be female people who will correctly identify your sex with interaction, seeing you move, speak etc. so it is irrelevant whether grok thinks you are female or not.

Just like the man who keeps posting pictures of JK Rowling as some sick gotcha when people say that he does not pass. When you see his self published photos, he is clearly male. But uses JK Rowling as a point to mock her if someone says she looks like a male person.

You can have all the misplaced trust in your appearance, but there will be female people who will correctly identify you. Your misplaced confidence in passing is totally irrelevant to the point. Any male person who fully respected the needs of female people would never attempt to enter a female single sex provision.

Because female people enter a female single sex provision based on the fact that they are female. They can look like they are men or boys and still legitimately enter a female single sex provision based on their sex.

We have had a few women who think they are men on mumsnet.. one did an ask me anything thread that was very interesting. We also had a man who thinks he is a woman do the same thing.

The man who thought he was a woman was evasive and aggressive, the woman who thought she was a man was the very opposite.

women who think they are men tend to just sound like women.

I have only met a few very young women calling themselves trans and they were frankly not male at all.

Males have a tendency to want to herd women and tell them what to think and what to do.
