HW getting cancelled by the trans community

HW has posted on r/transgenderuk.
This past few weeks I’ve been in studios from Liverpool, to London, to Washington DC, using my voice to stand up for the trans community. What a whirlwind trip!

But the TRAs are NOT happy.

Helen, please. We know you probably mean well, but you DO NOT have the rhetorical or tactical skill to do this. You're damaging the cause you claim to be championing.

You have thoroughly embarrassed us with your performance.
It has been excruciating to listen to.

I'm not sure this has gone the way she hoped.

People who aren't paying attention would never believe how crazy the TRA side is.

There's no way she wasn't appealing to AGPs. I mean if they make up the bulk of your customers, then I see why. But honestly, she seems to fondly imagine that no one else can see it.

There are remarkably few, if any, people pushing this agenda who do not raise a a red flag when you listen to their views, and very frequently many red flags covering a number of areas.

It's a talk on how to argue with 'GCs'

And his main advice is not to.

He asserts that just making statements such as 'you're a science denier' and 'that's biologically incorrect' when meeting with GC 'beliefs' such as 'sex is immutable' is enough to 'win' the argument.

He comes across as a bit dim. Doesn't finish his sentences or qualify almost anything he says.

I wonder what he thinks re HW as he is very against debating Helen Joyce for example.

It's extraordinary, as though the essential meaning and subtlety of language itself had deserted the speaker, leaving behind a vaguely disconnected string of words without any meaning. I suppose there are assertions, but exactly what they are claiming to assert, I don't know.

Very odd in the way his sentences just trail off whenever it seems like he might be getting to a point..

I hadn’t noticed Monty has gone quiet. That’s interesting in itself. A lot of the original TRAs have vanished.

It's very quiet round these parts on the scolder front too. The odd one pops up every now and then but time was we were regularly castigated for our terrible bigoted terfery.

That’s another level of fascination for me; how people can use logic and reason when it comes to some topics but not others.

Matt Dillahunty who presents TAE is in a relationship with a TIM but claims to be in a straight relationship. He would absolutely say that feelings can be wrong when it comes to “just knowing” that god exists but seems unable to see that “just knowing” a man can be a woman is exactly the same.
