HW has posted on r/transgenderuk.
This past few weeks I’ve been in studios from Liverpool, to London, to Washington DC, using my voice to stand up for the trans community. What a whirlwind trip!

But the TRAs are NOT happy.

Helen, please. We know you probably mean well, but you DO NOT have the rhetorical or tactical skill to do this. You're damaging the cause you claim to be championing.

I'm not sure this has gone the way she hoped.

The whole 'all provision should be based solely on what we say we want and need with no other voices allowed' is the narcissim talking.

The absolute inability to see women as people with inner lives of their own, or any function beyond service, is the narcissism again with both fantastic immaturity (mummy lives for baby, she has no existence beyond baby) combined with misogyny talking. Mummy has no life but baby, women have no living purpose or existence other than in their use to men. Therefore their little minds go blank and they stop functioning when not doing something relevant and useful to men.

Hence this peculiar belief that if a woman does something she says is about a need or problem she has, she's obviously doing it solely to piss off men. Because what else would possibly be going on between her ears that does not revolve around men?

That Peter Tatchell is the ‘respectable face’ of this movement tells all.

I think conceding the point that men are incredibly dangerous to women would help. Since one of us dies every 18 minutes.
So, what would natal women need, in order to feel safe with a transwoman? In the 80’s, only transwomen who were clearly committed to medical transition dared use the Ladies, and we turned a blind eye to it. We felt safe with them.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of examples of perverts tagging on the back of the movement. How do you separate yourselves from them?
Everyone knows what trans folk desire - inclusion with the opposite sex and not to be reminded of their past sex. Women are saying they want safeguarding.
If you work the problem, you may find a solution for both sides, which would then expose who is truly transphobic and who is just afraid. That won’t come from simply saying “it’s only a few extra r*pes”.
