HW getting cancelled by the trans community

HW has posted on r/transgenderuk.
This past few weeks I’ve been in studios from Liverpool, to London, to Washington DC, using my voice to stand up for the trans community. What a whirlwind trip!

But the TRAs are NOT happy.

Helen, please. We know you probably mean well, but you DO NOT have the rhetorical or tactical skill to do this. You're damaging the cause you claim to be championing.

You have thoroughly embarrassed us with your performance.

Have you not noticed that IW has fallen out of favour? He wasn't in that Glamour UK issue (which he threw a strop about), and he's not on the lineup for the upcoming super duper trans GLP grift benefit concert.

It's weird to watch Reddit almost get it.

There is no way to present their arguments and come across as sane, sensible, credible and on the side of science... Because their arguments are none of those things.

The only people willing to go out there and make the TRA arguments are people who believe bullshit. You can try and make the bullshit look like something else and succeed in fooling some people for a little while, but the illusion doesn't last when people take more than a passing glance. The same way the illusion that men are women doesn't last when you look past the costumes these men put on.

I suspect they've always resented her because she's not trans. Her very existence as an obvious woman offends them.

They couldn't say it while she was so useful to them, but now things are more complicated, between Helen's own professional problems making her less able to supply the treatments they want, and especially since "No Debate" stopped being the go-to solution. She can't defend the indefensible, but they don't see it like that.

(I think something similar but on a more personal/family level happened with Amanda Jetté Knox: remember how she insisted that it wasn't a contagion because look at her happily not-trans despite having a trans child and trans husband (now wife?) - only to then decide that after all she was trans, and had always been.)

Yeah, he's off my Christmas card list as well.

That Reddit thread is fascinating.

HW was making absolutely bog standard TRA arguments. Given how mad those arguments are, I thought she made them as well as they could have been made.

What on earth do the people on Reddit think she should have said? How do they think she should have said it? What are these mysterious hard core, inarguable facts they claim to have?

Its so interesting that when their own arguments are aired in public long form discussions, they think they have come across badly.

I thought so at first but as another poster quite rightly pointed out:

Which just makes the whole thing even worse!

They are not that popular with TRAs any more because they damage they cause.

There was little support for Robin using the ladies loo when the gender neutral loo was right next door. Willoughby's wild claims have got so ridiculous they're embarrassing. He's frothing and ranting on X every day now. Sinking and losing followers.

I immediately got the "pubic area" reference, not sure she specifically meant hair.

What has just occurred to me is that the comparison is "women don't get stared at in a negative way" vs "transwomen have something about the pubic area which causes people to stare in a negative way".

Here's what I think.
I'm pretty sure HW did not write this piece of weird propaganda. Also, consider that she may be looking into a mirror, wagging her finger and shaking her fist at herself as she speaks these hateful, vicious words.
