I dunno - look at what they’ve managed to survive so far. I think unless vast swathes of the population (a) read the Telegraph and (b) vote with their licence fees, the BBC will just say, ah yes, lessons to be learned, and sweep it under the carpet. Oh, and carry right on doing as it pleases.

Based on there being actual proof this time (the leaked memo) and that the Tories / Reform would kill the BBC anyway. And decisions over the criminally unfair license fee are ongoing. And Half of Labour would kill it as well.

The telegraph says the bbc may be facing a parliamentary inquiry into the claims. I wonder if this will finally be the moment that prompts change. The paper has done an incredible job of listing some of the most notorious instances of pro trans news reporting and there’s a column from Suzanne Moore too. About time all of this was brought into the light. I wonder how many complaints they have dismissed over this issue down the years?

I don't think it'll kill the BBC, any integrity or accountability seems to be long gone. They'll make noises about how important their bias free journalism is (as they've been doing while doing all the things the dossier notes) identify as being wonderful and needing to mark their own homework, and crack on.

I mean even the Supreme Court counts for nothing now.

This from the Telegraph: The regulator can only intervene if someone has complained to the corporation and been unhappy with its response, but the fact that the head of Ofcom has taken the unusual step of writing to Mr Shah shows how seriously it is taking the bias claims.

I mean kill it by rewriting / removing the license fee based on (justifiable) pressure from politicians that have wanted to kill
it forever. It’s will move to a Netflix model and end up with 20% the budget it has now.

Good to see this getting more exposure. Women on here are so familiar with the BBC's manipulation of the trans agenda and it's great it's getting so widely publicised.

I'm immensely relieved that their appalling bias has mainstream coverage and is being looked into at last.

I'll never forgive them for the damage they've done to my faith in British democratic institutions and to my sense of safety, security and self as a British woman. They've systematically obscured from public view an issue that has had the potential to re-shape elections, inform women's decisions about their physical safety, and decimate children's mental and physical health.

They should hang their heads in shame.

As an institution, as a concept, they were the only things that could have saved us from the AI quagmire of lies and misinformation which is about to swallow the world.

Shelagh Fogarty had an ex BBC boss on her LBC show this afternoon. He said that the problem is weak leadership and the trustees failing to demand high standards. He said as long as the ‘journalists’ can answer ‘yes’ to the question of whether they can ‘get away with it’ and keep their jobs, they will continue as they are.

Well, part of the problem, though, is that it's not being 'reported', but rather leaked. All signs point to a determined effort at cover up.
