White port goes well with the year old block of unopened white Stilton, found by chance at the back of the bottom shelf of the fridge.

I said that I would try it and I have. It's OK but you do need something with it. After the first sip I asked for some cheese and it was enjoyable with a little Shropshire Blue. Overall, I'll stick with gin but an interesting variation. Thank you.

Stilton is even better with a good smear of a fig paste, or a membrillo paste.

I won a hamper in a village raffle a couple of years back that included a couple of mini ?200cc? bottles of prosecco. One of them is still rattling around in a kitchen drawer. What would make it less sour and windy? Mixing it with fruit juice? Pouring it down the sink?

You keep those for the next raffle/tombola donation, is my understanding.

My recommendations are - make a fancy Buck's Fizz by using blood orange juice instead of normal orange juice, or make a Bellini by adding peach juice, or make a cocktail that a place near me used to make (no longer sadly) which was prosecco, lemoncello and a scoop of lemon sorbet.

See my previous post about only drinking non grown up booze now. I always use such random bottles to top up a passion fruit martini (Of the ready mixed ones you can buy, MOTH are decent, Edmunds are really pretty good but harder to get hold of). It's only about four inches high, I think it would not be received with rapture. The multiple bottles of Ouzo that turned up in the back of the cupboard under the stairs otoh, are full sized. There was also Limoncello, so that suggestion will be taken under advisement.

Die mad just means "sustain your anger until your inevitable death". It kind of suggests that you want them to have a long but angry life, rather than a short one.

Why would anyone want that on a mug?

It’s better. I wouldn’t automatically despise someone with that mug. Although I do think expressing yourself through the medium of mugs probably reveals some deep underlying issues

I’ve never seen a mug with a nasty message on it in an office. Most people surely know it’d be grossly unprofessional?

Different but still deeply unpleasant.

Most people see them as funny. I guess you have to have a similar sense of humour to most in attendance. Luckily it usually pans out that way.

Just a bit sad and ineffectual, I think.
