URGENT. FYI.

After Charlie Kirk, on the sky app there are people asking for the next person to be targeted. These include JK Rowling, Matt Walsh, Trump, Ben Shapiro, Libs of TikTok, Elon Musk, and Andy Ngo.

I took as many screenshots as I could.

she means the cesspit that is Bluesky, obvs.

CNN are downplaying the trans messages by claiming that they are messages of "cultural phrases".

They are denying fact and using obscure reporting because they don't want to state anything negative about trans.

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 11/09/2025 16:40

That's a fair cop @TheCatsTongue.

If this debate was anything to go by, he was respectful, kind and incredibly measured in his responses. Despite dealing with what is clearly absolute lunacy.
Absolutely nothing hateful about the way he spoke.

No one should feel the need to preface the condemning of his murder with 'I disagreed with him on most things but...'

It doesn't matter whether you agreed with him or not, no one should be murdered for their opinions. Ever. It's horrific.

Most of his opinions were pretty mainstream conservative views that religious Americans might hold. It doesn't matter if you are not a conservative American or not, his murder for holding opinions and discussing them is shocking disturbing and evil.

It doesn't need qualifying with a personal distancing from the victim.

It's really pissing me off. Condemn the grotesque evil without the little statement of self protection.

No one should be murdered for expressing an opinion.

This.

Shortshriftandlethal · 11/09/2025 16:41

It is becoming clearer through multiple reports that the 'messages' on the spent cartridges were 'Trantifa' in tone.

Of course. I read a CNN report about the trans Minnesota shooting earlier, “what do we know about the shooter”. They get all the way to the bottom without any pronouns before they mention that he identified as a woman.

I disagree. I’ve definitely come across dodgy takes from Reuters. I consider no source free from bias and I try to read a variety. We know liberal/left media covers up anything that looks bad for “trans” though, because I’ve personally seen it happening.

100%. Also multiple media outlets in the US are reporting the same as in the Daily Mail regarding the bullet engravings.

RayonSunrise · 11/09/2025 16:47

I’ve not checked reputable media yet (at work, MNing over a cuppa…) - are those reports from the FBI, or just Twitter people?

I am still so stung from seeing people I know should know better passing on misinformation on SM I tend to take everything from there with a massive grain of salt.

You go on about facts and then claim that the DM is owned by Murdoch. It isn't.

Oops. But maybe BalladofBarryandFreda identifies the DM as being owned by Murdoch.

I think you can condemn any murder brought about through gun violence whilst also disagreeing vehemently with the victims ideology. Charlie Kirk was a right wing political activist who was a racist and a bigot and he himself said having a few deaths was collateral damage and worth it to keep the second amendment. I don’t suppose he thought it might be him who died but then who does. Sad for his wife and kids though.

In what way was he a racist and a bigot. Could you give some examples of what he has said that cause you to label him in that way?

Its allegedly from a leaked ATF (alcohol, tobacco and firearms) report

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/09/2025 16:53

I think he knew it was a risk, apparently he was wearing a bullet proof vest. Again you’re projecting the idea that he was happy for others to be collateral damage but not himself. You don’t know that. He’s going to be seen as a martyr by many and this isn’t helping the polarisation. Is it really so hard not to be smug about a man’s violent death?

TheUnusuallyQuerulentMxLauraBrown · 11/09/2025 16:53

Independent are reporting that they took the WSJ claims to the FBI who ‘declined to comment’ (ie did not deny that there is pro trans & Antifa engraving on the bullets):

It’s horrific, his poor family.
How can opinions be challenged or debated if people are not allowed to voice them ?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 11/09/2025 16:55

It would be an entirely unsurprising revelation if that was to be the case.

Thanks. I was a bit afraid of that - all I’m seeing from the FBI on Sky is that they have the gun and are looking for a male of college age.

Another one of the "I condemn the murder but he deserved it" comments.

A bigot can be someone who thinks that 'trans women are women" another bigot can be someone who thinks that "trans women are men".

Terms like bigot are in the eye of the beholder, and you cannot justify murder because you don't like someone's opinions.

I’m pretty sure he did consider that he could be a victim of gun violence considering he has spoken about receiving death threats.

RayonSunrise · 11/09/2025 17:03

Oh good Lord. Now there’s an American official announcing that any foreigners who say anything offensive about Kirk will be deported immediately. I hate to break it to him, but a lot of America’s problems (and the people who are especially into their culture war) are home grown American citizens.
