This is exactly why I find drag so offensive.
The entire premise is based on the fact that we're all total slags and that our vaginas stink. It's hugely misogynistic but we're supposed to shriek with laughter at how funny these men are.
The fact that drag is so popular with many gay men is revealing.
My closest friend was a gay man but we barely speak now because we disagree fundamentally over trans people. Ironically, he wouldn't ever consider dating a trans man - because vaginas and boobs, eeeew! - but he's very happy to scold me on how women's language doesn't matter and how gay men are in JUST as much danger as women walking down a dark street. He wants me to be an ally for him - which I have been, willingly and enthusiastically - but he's not willing to be an ally for women. IN fact, he wants me to understand just how vulnerable trans women are and how difficult THEIR lives are/have been.
