This movement really does feed off itself in the most unhealthy way, creating paranoia, fearfulness and division.

Sorry, for clarity: a die-in will be staged in the market square against Labour and the trans "bathroom ban"

I;m not worried. At some point they will have to get up and go to the pub home.

If they are 'banned from bathrooms' chances are they'll do one of two things.

Do a mass invasion of a woman's toilet nearby with many many photos possibly of poor women minding their own caught up in their madness.

Or they'll piss in the square.

The only toilets reasonably near are in Wetherspoons.

Isn’t Market Square currently being used for the beach, rides, bars etc? Haven’t been into the city for a while but it’s the norm each year.

At the women's gatherings I've been to in Notts, NAT and its supporters turned out to scream at women and massively intimidate them.

Well when I looked on twitter I couldn't find anything about it but there was an extinction rebellion die-in and a Ukraine die-in both in Nottingham in the last couple of years.

They just laid all all over the floor.

Which could be interesting if no one has thought to check about the beach event.

That's why they'll need security. Nothing to do with any "terfs" but pissed-off locals on a short fuse on a hot Saturday afternoon!

On the occasions I’ve passed through yes very busy. Saturday, school holidays and sunshine. Lots of families and people drinking in the bar. People generally having a bit of fun. Can’t imagine they’ll be impressed by the doom mongers!

There is no bathroom ban. They can have a bath in their own homes, or those of any friends and relations who agree.

They usually do.

They can’t get in the beach without a ticket- it’s all enclosed. They’ll be in the area around the edges, and where the water feature used to be. Plenty of room for them where the tents went up for the early social justice event where people camped out for a while. Can’t remember what that one was called anymore.

According to the Geneva Academy, there are 110 armed conflicts going on in the world today [yes there are 109 others going on, not that you'd ever know from media coverage..].

In those 110 conflicts, people are dying, as in literally-literally dying, so I think a bunch of privileged people who are in absolutely no danger of death holding a 'die-in' will strike people as being not just ridiculously melodramatic, but also incredibly tasteless.

Yep this is my first thought too.

I wonder if it's all going to be transwomen, the vast majority of whom will have the privilege of being able to temporarily resurect themselves in order to piss in a bottle should they need to. Especially if wearing a skirt.

All of these kind of protests are a million times harder if you're female.

Given they've had two die-ins before I can't help but think this is omnicause crew.
