Mumsnet Obsession With Penises

My controversial opinion is that most of the Mums who obsess here over penises, uteruses and chromosomes, would pick more important and interesting topics if their own child was trans.

@Manfreglory

On the off chance that you're still reading, OP, do you have any idea how ridiculous it sounds when you say that can't be a transwoman, it's a raping, violent, disgusting man.

When there is absolutely no verifiable difference, whatsoever, between the two?

There is no criteria for being trans, other than saying it out loud.

So just think for one single fucking second that if you create a rule where saying some words out loud gives any man, anywhere, access to vulnerable women and children, who the fuck do you think is gonna take advantage of that??

And don't say, you can't blame trans people. If you've got no criteria, it IS trans people.

Think!

Could someone bring the thread full circle by providing a recipe for curried penis?

Someone could ask Sarah Jane Baker perhaps? Though I think it was claimed to be testicles, eaten raw.

Have I got this right:
there was a question on AIBU 'What is your most controversial opinion?' and somehow this morphed into a bunch of posts appearing on the Feminism: Sex and gender discussions board, most of which display a total lack of awareness of the issues, a complete ignorance of the range of boards on MN, an unwillingness to debate any of their claims, and then 'you've never even met a trans person, door-slam'.

We've had our usual fun with the obvious silliness of a lot of the posts, but nobody on this board asked for these opinions. and frankly it's getting a bit tedious now.

Why did their contributions not appear on the board which originally asked the question about controversial opinions? How did then end up here? Can they all be moved back to AIBU?

I think this thread started off in Chat (not Feminism Chat), which is where the original "What’s the most controversial opinion you hold?" thread is located but is full.

Then, due to the nature of the topic, Mumsnet shunted it to FWR 🙄

Unless the OP cunningly started a thread in AIBU in May to establish a false persona: they are an adult; originally from the UK; who normally lives in "North America"; but is currently living in the UK looking after their father and has a daughter in Canada.

Not clear if M or F.

So many weird contributions to FWR recently and Mumsnet Advanced Search being so effin useless that I am routinely using an internet search engine to search for, eg. "Manfreglory" site:mumsnet.com

Double quotes around the user name helps to exclude false positives from search results.

Some of the other unusual posts that have been plaguing us, that I wrongly suspected were made by new kids on the block coming here from Reddit, have turned out to be from long-standing Mumsnetters who are not FWR regulars.

Mumsnet's habit of shunting threads that started elsewhere into FWR is not helping things. Particularly when neither the OP nor FWR regulars realise what has happened.

It would avoid misunderstandings if MNHQ made an announcement in-thread when they did this.

lcakethereforeIam · 30/06/2025 11:13

I might be in the market for a recipe for curried pumpkin 🎃 if I'm successful in growing one of the sodding things.

Weirdly, I'm am a bit obsessed with their pistils.

Yes, I imagine the transfer is as much of a shock, if not more, to the OP than it is to us.
OP should be ashamed that their standard of debate was so poor that PPs judged them to be an 11 year old.

Lots of women here do have children who have adopted trans identities; and quite a few have husbands who have also done so.

CorvusPurpureus · 30/06/2025 11:21

I have a recipe! You airfry them until they collapse & shrivel. Then you discard the crackly blackened skin & cook the delicious smoky pulp with onions, spices & tomatoes.

Oh no wait...that's for 🍆🍆🍆. 🤔

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 11:26

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 19:40

I grew up in the 80's; had my bum fondled on a staircase aged 7; was flashed at, cat called and had 'whore' shouted at me as a frightened teen...by men. I was terrified walking home from the bus stop - I used to take my shoes off and run. I once had a lesbian try to pick me up on the tube (so women can be invasive abusive dicks too but that's another point). You're all directing your vitriol at trans women when since the beginning of time it is men hurting women, not trans women hurting women.

Yeah I know you'll all scream "but trans women are MEN" but even if that's the case, why centre your fury around them and not, er, actual man-identifying MEN. Oh and by the way that rapist who pretended to be trans and raped women in a prison: not trans. A man. A fucking deceitful, violent, perverted sex offending man in a dress. Get it right.

You talk so fondly about your husbands' penises yet if a trans woman has one, it's the enemy. At heart, this is all rage and hatred against people who are not "normal" and don't look or identify how you'd prefer them to look and identify. Did you know that in 19th century South Africa black people were termed "non human?". Substitute "trans" for "black" and "not women" for "not human" and then see how your hatred is working for you.

You do know you can be concerned with more than one thing or issue at a time, don't you? It is not either - or. Many here are long time activists on all sorts of issues, and/or intimately involved with female issues on many levels ( and obviously being female themselves)

But not being able to define what a woman is is a pretty fundamental issue. How can you protect or effectively campaign for something you can adequately define; and how is permitting males to identify into female spaces and categories in anyway compatible with female dignity and integrity?

The colonisation of female space by trans ideology seeks to erase women and girls as a distinct category of human being...along with all rights and protections afforded to that group. That is a pretty major issue for those who are concerned with the lives of women and girls on the ground and in everyday reality...rather than in the pages of an ideological manifesto.

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 11:29

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 19:46

And trans women are not women, so it's fine to shove THEM under the bus.

Nobody is "shoving anyone under a bus"...just into the facilities designated for them.

It is actually women and girls that have been shoved under a bus......their boundaries trampled; their spaces invaded; their sporting achievements stolen; banned from forums, disciplined at work; reprimanded in school; been subject to violent rhetoric.....their language censored; their words appropriated.

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 11:33

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 19:59

yes it is a crime and IMO nobody should be dangling their penis about - stats show that those doing the dangling are men not trans women.

In fact the percentage of sex offenders with trans identities is actually higher percentage wise than is the average for men generally.

BackToLurk · 30/06/2025 11:34

Did you know that in 19th century South Africa black people were termed "non human?". Substitute "trans" for "black" and "not women" for "not human" and then see how your hatred is working for you.

I’ve just noticed this. (Honestly who has the time to read everything) Setting aside the patronising assumption that the OP is the only one who knows anything about 19th century and apartheid-era South Africa, the accurate parallel here is the Green’s category ‘non-men’. Maybe the OP would like to reflect on that.

Datun · 30/06/2025 11:34

i'll never understand how people like the OP don't realise that now this man, and every other predator in the land, can follow them straight into the toilet, changing room - and rape refuge.

@Manfreglory imagine if we invented a rule that said adult men could be alone with children and teens, because they belonged to a special sub group of men who said they genuinely meant them no harm.

What do you think would happen?

And you really think that now everybody believes that ALL priests are predators??

Stop just blindly thinking that a sub group of men are the most vulnerable people in the world, and listen to what is actually happening because they are demanding a loophole that erases safeguarding altogether.

Why would they do that? And why would you support it?

Datun · 30/06/2025 11:35

With people like the OP, you can't even begin to get involved in the argument that women don't want men in there whether they're dangerous or not.

Even when they know full well they're absolutely not.

I don't want to be in the same changing room as my father-in-law. And he's lovely.

BettyBooper · 30/06/2025 09:08

Meatball curry?! Is this a thing?

Yes agreed. There's lots of incoherent nonsense flying in.

Meatball curry is 100% a thing. It's a household classic in some Malaysian communities.

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 11:37

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 20:09

Yes and being gay presumably.

Most trans identified girls are actually lesbians, and a large number of trans identified men are gay; the other half are cross dressers who have taken things "full time".

Did you not read the Cass report and the findings coming out of the Tavistock - that large numbers of children presenting were either gay and/or autistic; and sometimes with actively homophobic parents.

BackToLurk · 30/06/2025 11:40

I'd be interested to know what @Manfreglory thinks a 'man-identifying man'. I imagine most men are just 'men'. Are they then fine in the OP's world because they don't consciously identify as me? And how did @Manfreglory know the men concerned were 'men-identifying'? How can we see their identity?

Shortshriftandlethal · 30/06/2025 11:41

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 21:35

I don't doubt it. But the fact that you can name this person by definition makes it an anecdote and you can anecdotalize literally anything. Does it happen? Yes. Are trans women men? No, they're trans women.

You are aware that Susie Green is a well known trans advocate and is the person who started up 'Mermaids' - the charity which encourages people to trans their children. She publicly joked about how her son was " probably just gay"...and how her husband hated the fact he liked playing with " girly toys" so much so that the child's favourite toys were removed.

There are actual videos on the Internet of Transwomen wanking with their actual penis in the ladies.

Uploaded by said actual Transwomen themselves in many cases.

This is where we had got to before the SC decision. They were totally unafraid of any consequences. Because "I'm a real woman you bigot" covered it for them.

Explain how this was ever ok?

SidewaysOtter · 30/06/2025 11:48

Fuck me, is Reddit down or is it just that the university exam period is over? We seem to have an endless parade of shitwits derailing threads, posting disingenuous faux-wide-eyed bollocks and displaying the sort of debating skills I'd expect from a four year old.

Anyway, back to the recipes. On the 1950s curry, my grandmother used to make one that was - as far as I can remember - left-over meat from a Sunday roast, chopped tomatoes, stock, curry paste, onions and sultanas. Served with chopped bananas and desiccated coconut.

I can't do a penis curry recipe but I suppose with regards the penis you could include it in these two recipes. (That hopefully appear momentarily).

And this is a post I never thought I'd write!!

Exactly.

It's such a waste of time talking to people about the ethics of it, the conceptualisation of what it all means, etc, when you've actually got blokes with their cocks out in the ladies on porn hub.

What's the point in debating, endlessly, about why certain people should get access, why it's kind, why it's not fair to exclude them, bio essentialism and bigotry, when men pretending to be women wanking in the ladies is now a porn genre.

I just had a Google to see if I could buy some bull penis for a beef curry, and found out that you can actually buy a bull penis walking stick mobility aid.

I know that it's a common thought to think who was the first person to see some cows udders and think I'm going to drink from that, but more importantly who looked at a bulls penis and thought that would make a nice walking stick that would.

Manfreglory · 29/06/2025 20:12

I'm sorry a trans woman raped you and I believe you. I just don't see why that justifies forcing the 99.99% of non-rapist trans women to use men' loos where they are about 1000 times more likely to be raped than any average woman.

And there it is. The proof that you are knowingly talking absolute bobbins.
(Not that I ever thought otherwise)

No one - not even the most deluded Transactivist on the planet actually believes this. It's been proven a lie too many times now.

Yeah, there's a reason women are objecting to this. I remember seeing some video recently where a panel of four trans women were laughing about listening to women urinate and how it was different to men. (Anyone know what this was snd have a link). I have never in my 50 years paid attention to the sound of other women urinating. It's all about invading women's privacy and making us uncomfortable whether it's listening to us and joking about it or getting their penises out or simply walking in, knowing women will be too scared to challenge them.
My patience is done with this.
