If this is homophobic, then it is transphobic to suggest that transpeople want to attack other prisoners.

When you rightly point out that there is a history of people claiming to be trans attacking other prisoners, you have to acknowledge that there is also a history of lesbians doing the same - including women who assume lesbian tendencies only when they are in prison.

Easily avoided by not putting men in women's prison.

I am saying that female prisons should only house female prisoners (including the lesbian prisoners as they are female). Male prisoners sould be in male prisons. This is using the biological meaning of sex as clarified by the Supreme Court regarding the EA2010.

If there is an issue in a prison where a prisoner is attacking other prisoners, then that will need to sorted out, as that should not be allowed to continue in female or male prisons. The answer to that issue is not mixed-sex prisons though.

Male prisoners, however they identify, who are considered vulnerable should be housed in a VPU. Placing trans-identified males in women's prisons instead indicates that this is an ideological decision taken against the best interests of women.
