India not happy with JKR drawing a line. Very aggressive.

Jo, you are bitter and twisted. A modern-day Miss Havisham. Bought court. You know it - I know it. I will always be more of a woman than you. The way you and your ghastly gang pretend to be the voice of all women is disgusting. And a joke. Along with the fact your daily sick bullying of women is completely ignored by UK media. You represent the Gender Critical movement - not women. I hope your boat sinks. Go fuck yourself. Trash.

Thank goodness burning women at the stake for heresy is no longer legal, because the TRAs would be very busy at the moment with rainbow coloured matches.

Instead, they have to settle for waving placards calling for decapitation, issuing death threats to women who dare to speak biological reality, and destroying the livelihoods of anyone who dares to question their beliefs.

O shame! O shame! Think about what kind of person this makes YOU! O repent of your hateful rhetoric!

Is that Jolyon's latest hustle?

He's fundraising for the above bits of cardboard for the above marches.

Jonathan acting like an angry stalker planning then next move.
But yes, he needs understanding and sympathy. Poor thing all he wants to do is the impossible and no one has let him. He's still male.

take a breath, read it again, this time with a wider lens, possibly including a sprinkling of humanity and think back at the history of what we endured as women to reach where we are today.
You, and others, destroy our legacy by applying the same oppression that was used against us, now to another group of people. Becasue thas what TRANS are in the end: people. like you, like me. imperfect people trying to find the best way to live, according to their experience.
Who are we to police them?

Rainbow coloured matches. You've really done it now...

Times article on JKR and Jolyon Maugham.

Thanks, it works!

SinnerBoy · 26/05/2025 05:27

Well, it's nothing new, that we didn't already know, but I was strangely pleased to see that the article called him "the Fox Batterer."

I wonder if Jonathan Ames reads FWR?

I swear that sites like archive.ph has done a fair bit of heavy lifting over the years to bring women (and men) together in this fight, by allowing free dissemination of media articles, information, news updates, opinion and ideas on sites like MN.

There’s no way many of us could carry subscriptions for every relevant newspaper and magazine, in the hope that someone might at some point actually print something.

SinnerBoy · 26/05/2025 07:11

Yes, it's been great! I couldn't agree more. I really do appreciate free news sites and don't mind the few seconds to decline cookies etc.

Documenting the abuse, harassment and misogyny of transgender identity politics.

This is the tag line from terfisaslur and yet from a quick look I couldn't see any documentation of "abuse, harassment and misogyny" just a bunch of incredibly offensive posts often violent and with lots of references to their dicks.

JKR even has her own section.

I'm very happy for JKR to be my voice.

Igneococcus · 26/05/2025 08:30

Oh my!

How many times did that single article refer to Maugham's fox killing?!

Szygy · 26/05/2025 08:54

Thanks for the share-token @Igneococcus but I couldn’t see any comments - were any enabled? Tbh I generally find these days that I can’t see them even with a share-token (I think they changed something in the settings because I’m sure I used to be able to)

Dang, I thought you could see comments with sharetokens, I can't really tell because I'm signed into my Times account on every device I have anyway.
There are close to 800 comments now and with a few exceptions they are all supportive of JKR.

I pity Jolyon Maugham. He simply can’t accept that men will be men come what may.

As for J K Rowling, an absolute star who has stuck her head above the parapet in support of women who refuse to accept a nonsense ideology that seeks to diminish women’s rights. As if, having fought long and hard to win these rights last century, we’d give them up just because people like Maugham and his trans activist chums think women should acquiesce to men.

Thanks both. I suspect the Times has tweaked the settings somehow so you can’t see comments despite a share-token, which is very annoying! But they want you to sign up to a subscription, I guess….

We have come a long way. I remember when Dr Henderson (under her alias as Morag MacGonagall, not sure about the exact name now, definitely Morag), Jo March, I and about another 10 people where the only commentators talking about women's rights underneath the few and far between articles about trans issues. Now her posts get thousands of recommends. It seems like a lifetime ago.

I have a digital only subscription at the moment which is £5 per month and allows you to view 50 articles per month. I thought at first I'd use that up but I haven't so far as I don't read that many. Other than an article being linked here I mostly only read the site at any length on a weekend.

I don't know whether this is an advertised offer but I was offered it when I rang up to cancel after paying £20 odd per month for quite a few years and didn't feel I could justify the ongoing cost for the amount I was using it.

It does seem forever ago. A lot of The Times commenters took a while to move from 'why does this matter?' to the majority current stance.
